Church Lane Surgery - Phoning at 8:00 not practical for non urgent needs
Once an appointment is made the service is good. Making an appointment is generally unacceptable for non urgent appointments. If you don’t phone up at 8:00.
Telephone appointments are difficult in this area and therefore sometimes don’t happen.
Everyone at the surgery do their best under difficult circumstances.

Church Lane Surgery - Required an appointment
Although the GP was helpful and prescribed for a UTI the reception desk refused to take my urine sample saying “it wasn’t on my notes!” I checked with the GP and it was so we had to travel back to the surgery with a sample. I was angry as in a lot of pain and wanted to voice my concern with the receptionist who had the incorrect information. This sample was a follow up after 1st lot of antibiotics and I was asked to supply a sample after a week of finishing antibiotics.

Outstanding care from the Nursing Team
I would like to send my thanks for the outstanding care I have received from the Nursing team at the surgery, alongside all of the reception team too. I have required daily appointments since 19th March 2026 up until today after having surgery. All of the nurses have been amazing but in particular Lauren Morris. Lauren has been so kind and considerate at every appointment and treated me respectfully at all times and considered my dignity at all times. I was so apprehensive about coming in every day due to the nature of the treatment required, but after the first few appointments, Lauren made me feel comfortable by giving me privacy, explained what she was doing at all times and gave me sound advice and guidance to help with my healing. I am really grateful and feel at ease about my next surgery that will require similar daily treatment in the very near future. Thank you all so much.

Overall health check
I went to the surgery for an overall health check, the receptionists were very accommodating and helpful to my needs however I had a doctor do an overall look at me but poked me in places then said does that hurt and everything that was previously discussed was not done and was passed on to myself to make further appointments, that's where some things that was told that doctor had previously told me she would do. I have a possibility of have hypertension and yet my blood pressure wasn't retaken as I was told would be done. Now having to waiting nearly 3 weeks for a routine telephone appointment for my blood results to find out what has been discovered. Was told to do a urine sample but was put on the system. Seems the doctor was on clear on what was supposed take place.
