My experience was good
My experience was good at the point of arrival appointment on time.
However the hcsw dealing with could have been a bit more communicative as she was very quiet.

2 x telephone calls from surgery
The first phone call was scheduled and was to give the result of a blood test with regard to whether taking Metformin tablets was affecting my kidney function and if stopping them for 2 weeks would show an improvement. The diabetes nurse advised that I should permanently stop taking Metformin and she would get a different tablet prescribed for me which should be much better for my kidneys.
The second phone call was unexpected and was from one of the doctors who advised that my blood test had also shown up an issue with my bones, and after some discussion he decided to refer me to QA Hospital for an x-ray of my hips. He would send an e-mail to the department and I should phone them for an appointment in 2 or 3 working days time.

Jane Groves was very accommodating thinking about her clients needs as my daughter had messed up a booking as we both have B12 injections and she had booked one at Paulsgrove and one at Kingston although we thought both had been booked for Paulsgrove. Jane is a credit to your practice.

Blood Test
I was requested to get two BP checks using the in-house machine in the waiting area, prior to seeing the clinician. Both were erroneous and were discarded by the clinician, who used a manual BP tester to obtain an accurate reading. My appointment was on-time and the clinician was very efficient.
