Helpful nurse
I got to surgery just before appointment time and went in on time, nurse very helpful, did bloods and B12 which saves me coming back for a separate appointment. On the website you can only book in for either bloods or B12 so would be good if you could change it so you can book both together.

I've only seen a nurse here but she's so nice, put me at ease and made me feel very welcome as I'm fairly new to Portsdown group practice my old practice Hanway road merged with yourselves last year! I would like to use this surgery more as it's so close to my home!

Found doctor and nurse very approachable. However when doctor asked for ECG nurse had me stripped ready and waiting but then found despite searching and phoning her colleague at home there were no stick tabs. No great for a NHS provider to not be stocked when poor nurse had a further 4 ECGs that day.

ECG plus BP check
I attended for my husband to undergo the above checks, the nurse was on time, very efficient, she explained the process clearly to us, she consulted a doctor with the results, we then spoke to him to discuss treatment, he was patient and clear, my husband suffers from Alzheimer’s so clear calm information is very important.

Thank you for your 5 star rating. It is lovely to hear you found the doctor caring and patient. We do offer F2F appointments and have done through the pandemic. We have simply introduced triage for all appointments, rather than just the 'urgent' ones. If you need to be seen in person, rest assured that will be arranged.
