Emergency Appointment
The waiting room was clean and tidy, adhering to social distancing with the seating. There was lots of useful information concerning varied subjects on the notice boards. I did not have to wait very long to be seen, my appointment was with Dr Laing who was very nice and sorted my problem.

Excellent
The doctor phoned on time and listened carefully to what I had to say. He then arranged for the appropriate treatment. The best of care, as usual. Thank you.

Asking for review of bloods/ diagnosis
GP himself was nice enough, but I was asking if I had a diagnosis. To which he did give but no more information or support given other than when to have repeat bloods.
As a whole since March under the Portsdown group practice the only communication I have received is via text when given blood results and starting medication, when I have phoned to ask no one has been forthcoming with information. Although a pharmacist who I made an appointment with was so helpful.
When I have spoken to someone it has never been the same person, so I have had to re explain all.
If this was not a new thing then I would understand having a text, but for me who its all new and awaiting results with +\- a diagnosis. These results are putting our family planning on hold, and could effect any pregnancy's - so support would have been greatly received.

Thank you for your feedback. Where possible alternative means are being used to update patients on results and diagnosis., however when speaking to a clinician they should explain further where required. We will share this with our team and make changes where possible.

Blood taken
They staff there had no information about why I was having blood taken. They did their very best to sort things out. However there seemed to be a lack of communication between Cosham Park surgery and Paulsgrove.

Econsult - poor service
Econsult, well I’ve tried it more than once, thought it was a fluke first time, so I am shocked and disappointed. I work for the NHS and starting to feel embarrassed and unable to keep up an argument over poor service we are all providing, however seriously disappointed with my own treatment and care over the last 10 months or so, the cancer pathway was an exception due to it being what it was, but shouldn’t all treatments and care be given to all patients regardless. It’s now time to start caring more for patients, back to basics of care, speaking to patients more quickly, triage sooner, sort accordingly.
For an econsult to take 8 days is unacceptable and I still feel I was fobbed off to be fair, how can someone assess a problem I know I have, not see results and just give medication. It is becoming more and more guess work. Extremely disappointed.
