Routine B12 appointment

I waited 7 weeks for my routine B12 appointment at my nominated surgery. As a result I was 3 weeks out of schedule.
Most weeks during August-September the surgery was closed and on other days only one day was allocated for nurse appointments

This appointment, although c40 minutes late, was a positive experience largely due to the professional and caring approach of the GP I saw. Previous experience (28/09/19) where I waited 1 hour 29 minutes on hold, trying to arrange an urgent appointment, on the telephone only to be cut off once I was put through to the surgery was an extremely disappointing experience

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

First ever appointment at this surgery.

This was my first appointment at this surgery and I was not impressed. The receptionist was very rude, not welcoming at all and very curt and uninterested.
There were two other people in the boxed area and so they both knew I was there for a smear test! Nice!
Mine was the first appointment of the day but over ran by half an hour as the nurse admitted to all the patients waiting that she had overslept! So unprofessional! The nurse looked desperately tired. However...the treatment then given by the nurse was excellent and I couldn’t fault her.
But...first impressions last and my first impressions were not good at all.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you found our Reception staff to be " quote " we would like to assure you that all of our staff are fully trained in customer care. They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. There was a need to book B12 appointment at least 21-28 days ahead. Getting routine appointments is non-existent. The telephone system is a real problem-you are left on hold and then disconnected if there is pressure on system. I do not feel that the GPs I have seen have any real interest in me as a patient which leaves me with no confidence in them. I have NEVER met me named GP!

Wanted a telephone appointment with the doctor to get results of recent test.
Couldn't get a telephone appointment so made a appointment to see doctor.
Was in there 5 mins. Waste of doctors time and my time when could of been discussed over the phone.
This was after being told 3 different things by 3 different receptionist. Does anyone know what the others do?
