Recents appointments
My recent visit to the Kingston Surgery was excellent. Always a friendly efficient and quality experience.
Sadly I had to travel a round trip of about 7 miles to get treatment.
Prior to that I recently needed a blood test and made the appointment. I was surprised when told I had to go to your Somerstown surgery which is about 6 miles from my home, a 12 miles round trip. I believe you have five surgeries and this is the furthest from my house. No doubt you have staff illnesses, holidays and shortages, and we all know that the NHS needs a doctor. I usually give a glowing report after every visit but my need to do this amount of travelling was disappointing.

Nurse asthma clinic, very professional and helpful. Dr K. Laing is very professional, helpful, understanding, etc. He is my favorite GP in the city.

Another GREAT experience at this surgery.
I made a mistake when I booked in and did not give the receptionist the correct information about what vaccination I was there for. After 20mins I went back to the counter and they sorted it out. This was entirely MY fault as I was put with all of the people having their COVID boosters instead of getting booked in with a Dr. for my Tetanus/MMR booster. I was cross about the delay at the time and took it out on the Dr. which was completely uncalled for. He had a hard enough job doing a full day's work and then staying on to get these vaccines done.
Luckily we talked it through. The Dr. was great and efficient and I left feeling happy to have been prompted to get my booster and getting it done so quickly. The mix up was entirely my fault and I would like to apologise to the Dr.for my grumpy attitude. You did not deserve this.
This is still the best surgery I have experienced in Portsmouth and happy to give it another 5 star rating.

A simple injection, two minutes one would think not in this case, firstly twenty minutes late in being called then much studying of P. C. screen after a further ten minutes I finally was given it, really not good enough.

The surgery is very good
The surgery is very good, waiting area and organisation is also very good. The shared car parking area is rather congested and I would prefer to visit the Crookhorn surgery as it is local to me and I don't enjoy the driving experience into Portsmouth.

Rubbish
Rang for an emergency appointment as had sore throat and headache for 2 days. I'm a transplant patient meaning I'm more susceptible to infection etc and all I got from receptionists was speak to pharmacy.

Trying to get through to speak to someone is a joke. Every time I call I never get through, and if I do manage to get through, you're always too busy to deal with me. You've taken on too many patients and as a result, it is affecting people being seen by their GP.

Thank you for your feedback. We have a maximum capacity of calls to be held at any given time, if we have reached that number that you call will not be connected. Once you are in the queue please hold, the calls are dealt with very quickly, usually not exceeded more than 10 minutes. We refute taking on too many patients, we are not looking to close our list, as this has implications on the other Practices within our locality.
