I attended the doctors a few minutes before my appointment time, to be told that the wait was 42 minutes. 42 minutes went by still not been seen. An hour later I asked if I was going to be seen today they said in a few minutes. Half hour later I was finally seen so a total of an hour and a half I was waiting. When I got to see the doctor she had no idea why I was there. I was extremely worried about my abnormal results and expected the doctor to at least have some idea about what she was talking to me about.

Prior to being seen our clinicians are trained to check the reason for attendance and to also review your medical notes, we are sorry if in this instance this did not happen, we will share this with the team to take learning from your experience.

Given all the issues the country/world is experiencing at this moment in time and the immense pressure the NHS is under I find it amazing that surgeries can still preform to the level they do, albeit under pressure themselves. The reception staff (the most patient of people) and the treatment staff, all work as a professional team ensuring calm caring reassuring confidence. I appreciate the service they provide and regard them in high esteem.

It was not good! After the nurse took my blood for analysis, a swelling appeared on my hand and the hand was a little numb. I think it touched a nerve. After a week I feel better with my hand. I'm sorry I can't attach pictures so you can see what my hand looked like. A blood sample should be something very easy for a nurse to do!

I wasn't happy having a telephone consultancy as I am a transplant patient and hospital said I should have been seen. I was given antihistamines but had an infection and ended up in qa.

Thank you for your comments. It has been proven that telephone consultations can be as reliable as a face to face consultation, there is no guarantee that had you have been seen that your treatment would have differed and the outcome changed.

Quiet waiting room. Unable to log myself in so had to see receptionist. Had booked online a 1 minute appointment for jab. Running 10 mins + late. Given tetanus jab too. Poor old chap anxious about leg told to go to pharmacy, they advised him to see GP so he came back to be told he had to ring up to make appointment.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that the self-check-in was not working and that your appointment ran late. Our staff are trained to navigate appropriately when appointments have been allocated. When a waiting room is quiet, this does not necessarily mean that the Practice is quiet.

When I phoned surgery I was able to speak with a doctor in a relatively short time, I also got a same day appointment, doctor was very professional, friendly and listened to me and I didn’t feel rushed. A very good experience.
