They seem to be a long waiting time but when you got in to see the nurse she dealt with it very quickly so you're in and out in no time.

I was kicked in the chest 7 weeks ago, I have been in extreme pain since. I tried to get a doctors appointment twice with the help of NHS 111 but got told there was nothing available. I went to A and E and was not given a chest xray and no pain relief. A ;ady at Lake Road Health Centre referred me for a chest xray last Wednesday, twice I have rang and twice I have beeen told they are waiting for a consultant to decide if I need xray. I am angry as it is a chest injury close to my heart and lungs and nobody seems to give a hoot. I cant sleep, it hurts to breathe, its pain to lay down or sit up, its painful when I cough, sneeze or laugh and the pain goes under my arms and back. I need a chest xray but you lot seem to think differently. The care I have received has been disgraceful.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have on-going pain and are struggling to gain an appointment. Your best option would be to call at 8am choosing option 1. I am unable to comment on the treatment received by QA you would need to address this with them directly.

Because I thought it was an answer that you wouldn't bother me again. I am of a generation where a phone call meant a birth or death in a family, now its surveys or someone wanting to sell something to you and phone calls are a bit like jehova witnesses knocking at your door when you have just sat down t e .wondering if I was going to kick the bucket o eat lunch. Other than that the nurse I see was very kind and professional, just a pity that she found my blood pressure was to high and I went home.

2 appointments - 1 )The difficulty in getting through on the phone is very frustrating. Once through however the receptionist was polite and made my appointment at a time to suit me. 2)The Econsult has its good and bad points. It is very frustrating to log on and see E consult is closed and you cant even upload your query. It tells you a time you will get called back but more often than not it doesnt happen by that time.

We are sorry that access is a frustration for you, we advise patients that require a an urgent appointment ( this for is acute and immediate issues) to call at 8am, for a routine appointment call from 10 am (long standing or recurrent issues that require more than a 2 minute initial triage). To clarify eConsults open from 7.30am where it is important that you select the correct form for completion, you will receive a text to confirm when you can expect to be contacted, in most instances this is via text or email, unless further information is required and you may be telephoned. Please note this is an appointment led service, therefore once capacity has been reached you will be appropriately signposted elsewhere, however we do have doctors available at all times for our Contact Centre staff to refer to where required.
