What is there to say, except that the staff were as cordial and as helpful as they always are.
My visit was done and dusted quickly and efficiently, as ever, and I am intelligent enough to understand them “the first time around”, so there’s no awkwardness there.
The doctors follow-on phone call was welcome, showing me that communication with other specialists within the practice was spot on!
I know now that the increase, albeit small, in my medication is necessary, and the changes also are for my good(health).
For that, I am extremely grateful to a service so under pressure right now!!

Medication review by phone with pharamist

Felt like he was going through a template asking questions to tick boxes.
Told me the drug I was taking for many years could cause sudden death, did I want to stay on it?
I had done some research so knew it was very dangerous in overdose but I only take a small dose, so decided I would stay on it.
I felt some patients would have been bullied into changing medication.
That said the phone call was on time and my medication was sent to the pharmacy quickly.

Thank you for your feedback. Often during consultations templates are followed and completed, this is to ensure that nothing is missed. We will give highlight side effects and possible outcomes form taking medication, however it is as much your responsibility and our to make an informed decision with the given facts. We do not "bully" our patients into changing medication, but will give our advice and guidance. We are pleased that other than that you were pleased with your consultation.

Tetanus Vaccination

I was messaged to make a booking for a tetanus vaccination that I was due. The online booking process was straight forward and I arrived at the surgery 10 minutes early. My appointment time was spot on and I didn’t have to wait and my treatment was explained and the needle hardly hurt when it was injected. All in all I was very happy with my experience on this occasion.

I started trying to get an appointment at 8am Monday morning. I eventually got to speak to someone on Tuesday morning. I was told no one could see me and to go online at 7.30 on Wednesday morning. I did this and received a reply saying someone would get back to me before 6.30pm on Thursday. When they didn’t I clicked the link to let them know.
The next morning I received a text saying they had already informed me that I might have to wait until June the sixth before anyone got in touch. They hadn’t.

Diabetes review.

I was seen last Thursday by Hayley, the specialist diabetes nurse. I found her examination and questions regarding my visit very appropriate and professional. Hayley was pleasant and carried a good sense of humour, necessary with my jokes.
The blood test were taken and the examination of my feet along with blood pressure and pulse, finishing with my weight going on record.
The whole experience took less than expected and I left feeling secure that if there was any negative tests results then I would be contacted.

Worried About My Health.

So, given I am 50 this year, I am listening to my body even more, any slight pain, little bump seems to resonate with me a little more these days, so when I was feeling tired, out of breath, always wanting to rest, I was seen quickly and my fears were elevated, after a blood test I am low on red blood cells and now on Folic Acid tablets, I was seen the same day, no issues and felt I was dealt with expertly.
