I was able to arrange an emergency appointment to be seen by one of the doctors at this surgery (Somers Hub) & to be seen by a real person within 24 hours of my phone call. I had first gone somewhere else who advised me to see a GP at my surgery. After a couple of phone calls (but not too long a wait) I was able to arrange to be seen the very next day mid-afternoon by a GP (for physical examination, etc). I know this is how it should be anyway under normal conditions but post-covid, nothing is the same.

I turned up 10 minutes before my appointment and checked in. I was told to take a seat. Place was not busy. 60 minutes later I asked what was going on. Lady at reception said she sent a message to the doctor. After 2 hour wait, the doctor called me and said sorry, he did not see me on the screen. I understand if it is busy and I have to wait but in this case it was quiet. I was supposed to be there for 1 minute only but instead, I spent there more than 2 hours. That's why I think the service was very poor.

It would be nice to actually see a doctor I know I missed a phone call but if I had a proper appointment I would have been there, plus trying to phone for an appointment is like platting soot, impossible, where do all these people come from when you ring at the time stated and they can’t do any more that day what happened to forward planning I am fed up with your services when I did get in to see a nurse for a blood test was treated very nicely can I get result on the NHS app.

Most appointments can be dealt with over the telephone, that means that more patients can be spoken to and assisted with, than if all appointments were face to face. More and more patients are requiring help and therefore the appointments fill very quickly. Yes you can review your results on-line.
