Cancelled by Dr, just as I’d gotten nearby!

In all the time you’ve been merged, I have not been able to get a face to face appointment with a Dr, when I did, I got called to say it wasn’t needed to be a face to face ( which I wanted) I appreciate how busy the Drs are, but I’m hardly hogging appointments! I also previously got a message asking me to fill in a questionnaire about my copd, which I’ve never been told I had! Plus asking me how often I need to use my emergency pack. Again never prescribed & can’t speak to anyone who knows! Then you call in to reception and see so many missed appts, so if repeat time wasters, surely they should be told they need to find a new surgery? I’ve still not had all my health issues dealt with.

Thank you for your feedback. An assessment is carried out by a clinician who will make a decision as to whether a face to face appointment is required, we have to make decisions on need rather than want. Please be assured a high percentage of appointments can be carried out to the same standard over the telephone. With regards to missed appointments "DNA's" as we call them, this is something we are currently working on and we will ensure repeat offenders are monitored and contacted to try to improve on this area.

First time in Kingston Practice since Hanway Road closed. The 2 receptionists I spoke to were great very helpful. The lady that did my bloods was lovely couldn’t do enough for me, Did my blood pressure too.
I have answered 2 of the questions with low stars because I haven’t reached the outcome of my treatment yet.

The nurse who helped me was called Laura. She is a real asset to the surgery. Very grateful for her help just wish it wasn’t so long a wait for a scan when feeling very uncomfortable.

This surgery is very poor in my opinion. If after an operation you end up with blood and pus pouring from your belly button make sure it’s at 8am because you sure won’t get an appointment at any other time even if you phone the emergency line. Infection and sepsis are very dangerous conditions, I was worried and knew I needed antibiotics. After being told by a nurse last year that I had heartburn when in fact I had a ruptured appendix I am really not impressed. I suppose there are some doctors at the surgery, but I’m beginning to wonder. However the nurse I eventually saw to dress my wound was lovely as were the nurses who did my blood tests recently.

We are sorry that we are not providing a service to your expectations, however, if you cannot gain an appointment at the Practice you will be signposted the other alternatives where you can seek assistance including emergency medication. I would like to assure you that we do have doctors, along with many other clinicians and you will be appointed with an appropriate clinician, depending on what is required at your appointment, there is always a Duty GP available who can assist and if necessary join the consultation.
