Rude and unhelpful staff. Tried on the phone and it took 45 mins then they cut me off. Told them I need to have a face to face appointment but keep telling me there are no appointments.

Seen promptly by the doctor

Went in for my flu jab at specified time and was seen promptly by the doctor who welcomed me politely. Booking in was easy on computer screen even for an oldy like me and took a matter of seconds without the need to queue. A hand wash was available close by.

Efficient clinic. Nurse/HCA vaccinator was quick and competent.
Odd that when booking appointments on line it said I was booking with a doctor. I could even choose male or female. I have no problems with it being a nurse led clinic, it was just confusing and online booking should reflect reality.
The reception staff attitude left much to be desired. I found they were verging on rude and were unwelcoming and snappy. Not smiling. No please or thank you. She only had to ask me my name and she couldn’t do that nicely. I know it’s a thankless job and there must be some difficult customers but please don’t assume we are all the same. There is also little privacy at reception.

I was kept waiting rather a long time after my appointment time but I know that pressure is great at the moment however perhaps a notice board with approx. waiting times would be helpful. Once I saw the doctor things improved markedly. This young woman was welcoming and took great care in observing my problem and suggesting a different form of treatment. She also gave me my 'flu jab and one for shingles which I had previously enquired about. My husband also had his 'flu jab while we were at the surgery. This young doctor was most helpful and I would be very happy to consult with her in the future should the need arise.
