Appointment same day at surgery
Severe pain in kidney area. Phoned for urgent appointment. Seen in Rose Suite at Kingston Surgery the same day. Infection detected and antibiotics prescribed. Staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and user friendly. Could not ask for a better service.

It annoys me that medications do not admit patients, they use nurses who do not have experience yet, they make a problem with admission and just ringing as if they had the authority to treat by telephone !!! and the next problem is when I asked for a referral to a specialist last time, they made a problem for me to send me there !!!

Thank you for your feedback. The contact centre and receptionists follow the guidance of the Doctors to ensure that the appointments are with the appropriate clinician. Clinicians can carryout the bulk of diagnosis over the telephone without the need of a face to face appointment.

It was a bit confusing what to do when you arrived, there was a queue, but I managed to ask a nurse as she was leaving if I could check in automatically at the machine, as I assumed that it wasn't working, seeing the queue. It's not my usual surgery, and I'm sure that's the case for lots of people, so maybe a large sign over the machine to alert people to it would be useful.

Had some tests done 3 weeks ago NO INFORMATION !Went to chemist to get prescription hadn't been sent over had to revisit surgery Had appointment to s ee doctor got to surgery saw a nurse who then had to go to doctor and ask questions that I'd asked Told about making me a appointment at hospital haven' t heard anything since I would like to change surgeries from portsdown group I've lost confidence and patience in them

I have been waiting months for a medical with the doctor, my appointment was with a nurse that couldn't deal with any medical problems and I never got a full medical anyway, had concerns about a skin lesion and asthma which couldn't be or wasn't interested in! Resulting in more stress to myself trying to get another appointment which seems impossible with the Portsdown practice. No I'd like a full medical like I was supposed to get.

Worried about skin cancer on back.
Phoned several times to make an appt. no fill out form on computer. Explained I am not very good , but insisted I had to fill in form . So in the end I went to St. Mary’s walk in unit, excellent service, must make urgent appt. with doctor or dermatologist. At last I had an appt. oh with a nurse, very helpful took a photo and said a dermatologist will ph. Still had to chase them up. The stress and worry . At last an appt. at St. Mary’s , luckily all clear, if I had an appt. at the beginning of my first phone call I wouldn’t have had all this worry and stress.
Your staff has to be more understanding and not to keep telling patients to fill in this form on the computer. Not every one has a computer.

Awful follow sevice
I had a tel appt and was told I would have a letter of referral for dermatology sent and then wait for an appt. What actually happened was that I was sent a self referral form for Physiotherapy. I rang the surgery 3 times and went in once. 18 days later I am still waiting for the correct self referral form for Dermatology. How many requests does it take?

Ear problem
It is the third time that I go to the surgery with the same ear pain problem and get again a prescription for antibiotics even if I told the doctor that I was already diagnosed with TMJ by my dentist.
After finishing the medication the ear pain still persists - a problem which is already lasting for nearly a year. So I will now try to resolve the problem with my dentist.
The doctor was very kind, but in my opinion the problem is again been treated superficially since it is a lasting pain.
