Thank you for your feedback, we were advised at short notice to stop some tests due to a lack of tubes across the city, we are sorry you were not contacted and advised of this to prevent you attending.

Poor Service

1 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
Struggle to get through calling the surgery & explain your symptoms, only to be told to go online & fill out forms. After filling out said forms online, your told to call the surgery. In the end I ended up going back on the form online to make it sound less severe so my information would be logged & I would hear from a doctor. Took weeks to get the call, since then I've done everything requested, yet I'm still struggling due to the issue & not getting anywhere with it.

A bit of a wait. Practice needs to take more care with patient record

4 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
I had a half hour wait for my blood test, which used to be much faster. The nurse was nice and it didn't hurt. I noticed that my Covid vaccination record was incorrect and asked reception why this was. The practice manager refused to change my record unless I produced my vaccination card, but I lost my purse recently along with my card. I am not happy that the wrong information was recorded to my patient and NHS record, as it's not my job to scan the vaccine and record the details.

Curt reception

4 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
Having not been to this surgery before, only recently visiting civilian doctors, I went straight to reception to let them know of my arrival, as I was not familiar with the updated system. The receptionist was curt in informing me of the 'sign in' screen, but 'volunteered' to sign me in. Isn't this a part of their role?
Surely if a person shows unfamiliarity, a more understanding 'welcome' would go a long way.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you find our Reception staff to be curt we would like to assure you that all of our staff are fully trained in customer care. They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Thank you again for your feedback, which will be shared with our Surgery Reception Teams.

Where are the doctors?

1 out of 5 stars

I am at a loss as to when you can see a doctor? I have been unable to see or talk to a doctor for over a year now!!! Even my physio appointment is via email! I feel I should have had a follow up appointment after my heart attack but this has not happened! I am in constant pain with my joints and cannot see a doctor!!!
I am discussed at the way the NHS is running at the moment and feel a private insurance with private health care has got to be better!

Blood Test

5 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
Appointment time was met, no waiting. The nurse taking the test was friendly and helpful putting me at ease as I am at the moment very stressed owing to me in the process of moving into sheltered housing and selling my present accommodation, decided with my consent not to take my blood pressure which was a relief to myself as I didn’t think at this time it would be a true picture and it was only taken 4 weeks previously.

Not happy

1 out of 5 stars

The service I have received here is terrible. 3 weeks of waiting for a response for a mental health form and nothing. Tried to get in contact yesterday to be told no appointments and to call back tomorrow. Called 111 who told me to call surgery and say he had sent an email saying I needed a mental health assessment but when I called they said they couldn’t see an email and to call back today.

Tetanus Vaccination

5 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
I was texted by the surgery because my vaccinations were not up to date. Once I had checked with friends that the text was not a scam, it was a simple process to book a time via the link on the text. Once at the surgery, I did have to wait for a while but that’s to be expected at most surgeries. The doctor was very good. She explained everything clearly and I hardly felt either of the two injections she gave me. Excellent bedside manner.

A surgery not for the elderly.

Trying to do anything on the telephone connected with one's health is next to impossible. I shudder to think how the infirm cope with the seemingly endless recorded messages.
In spite of several calls telling the receptionists that my mobile phone is just that - A Phone! I still receive texts telling me to link this with that etc: All gobbldeygook to me., and I have asked repeatedly that verbal messages be left on my answerphone if necessary . Not all the elderly are computer literate.

This was suggested by the nurse when I went three weeks before, for hormone injection as part of my prostate cancer treatment. Was in the 1970's when I last had that injection, I think. Very pleased with the efficiency of Kingston Crescent Surgery.

I don't think every patient with medical issues should be left to go online when trying to reach their doctor and using the covid as an excuse is not good enough, we are not all able to go online, I myself am not very good with technology so let's show a little compassion to those people.
