Visited for vaccinations

I received a text to book in for a tetanus vaccine. Booked through the text. Arrived a few minutes early. Booked in to be told I was at the wrong site ! Could not believe my mistake. Obviously apologised profusely and asked if I could rebook. The receptionist asked me to wait a moment and came back to say the duty GP will do that for you as soon as he is free. Brilliant service. Have been a patient for a lot years and I appreciate everything as team Kingston Crescent has done for my family and I. Thank you. Also whilst there the GP realised I needed a mmr so double jabbed!

Although it took 10 days for a response to my online consultation, I was happy that the tests requested by the practitioners were comprehensive and done promptly.

Thank you for your feedback. Our reception desks have all had Perspex screens put up and suitable distance between chairs - therefore staff do not need to wear a face mask when sat behind the desk. We cannot comment on patients not wearing them, but we appreciate some people are medically exempt and will usually inform us of this. It is not our place to inform other patients of individual medical exemptions.

Has literally taken me months to get an appt. Even been to the surgery because I'm always told I'm too late for an appt (by 8:10am that morning) When I managed to catch the surgery with its doors open, I got a call from a doctor who the receptionist has never heard ot I'm having trouble breathing. I was told I had to make an appt f,(told this when I went for blood test at CPH)) not only that, but told to wait for results to come back. They made an appt for me at cosham park House for a few days later. When I got there the recepmyself for an xray and the blood test (another phone call 🙄) and tionist said oh, the nurse has phoned in sick so you'll have to maky I don't belong to and a distance a way getting through the mornine another appt. A courtesy call informing me to travel to a surgerg traffic and train gates . She checked for cosham park House and the closest date was 8 days later. I asked if I could have my own doctors surgery but, at first, she said no because the appt time would be much later. I asked when that would be.It was the same day and only 5 mins later than the original one she said about. I have the appt card she gave me. Then I get a text a few days later saying I'd missed my appt, I was never given this day/date/time!! In the meantime the breathing has worsened. I have trouble with my throat as it is, so this just causes more worry not being able to see a doctor to properly examine my throat. as it also makes me tired wh believe the surgery's should be taking any more patients from otheere I'm not breathing correctly and my airways are swollen. I don'tr doctors surgerys closing as they can cope with what patients they already are meant to have a 'care of duty' about. I think taking isk . Also train the receptionist to be polite in cosham park Houson some other staff to just handle the volume of patients would be beneficial to all everyone and not risk putting someone's life at re, of it wasn't for ill/sick people she wouldn't have a job..be gra

10days for a consultation!

I think this consultation system is a total waste of time. I don't understand why it takes 10 days for someone to call you back. I understand that the surgery might be busy but 10 days for someone to make a phone call is ridiculous.

Can never get through!

It takes forever to get through to the surgery. You aren’t just placed on hold straight away. If there are too many people waiting then you are just cut off! I was incorrectly told by one of the receptionists that I couldn’t have my second covid jab yet despite already having my first one. And I wasn’t given an appt for my 4 month old who was unwell. It was all done via the phone. Eventually after her being unwell for 5 weeks they agreed to see her and she actually had bronchiolitis. This should have been picked up sooner. She was given antibiotics the week before because a doctor over the phone assumed she had a chest infection! She reacted to these and was going to the toilet 10 times a day! When she was diagnosed with bronchiolitis I was told the antibiotics won’t help with this as it usually tends to go on its own but because she’s been prescribed it she must continue it until she’s finished the course. I asked a receptionist at the crookhorn surgery if I could book my smear as I had received a letter saying I am due one. She refused as I had not long had a baby. I explained that I had had her by caesarean. So surely it would be different? And she didn’t know. Wouldn’t find out for me either. Despite me being there at the desk and told me to call up! I don’t have time to sit down and keep trying to call my drs surgery 50 times a day when I have a new baby. The receptionists need to be retrained. I have only ever had one great receptionist since they took over hanway and that’s Andrea! Other than that everyone needs to be retrained!
