I have a lifelong life changing condition MS and get no priority or help with my condition and can’t even get to see a GP or talk to them about changes needed to medication to help cope with the effects of it.

Thank you for your feedback.With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Customer Service at Portsdown Group Practice
It has become totally impossible to contact this practice. I appreciate that doctors are very busy, but I spent three days trying to get through on the 'phone, with no luck. Once I did get a reply I was told to go to the pharmacy, who recommended that I should speak to the doctor. A recorded message whilst holding on to the 'phone recommended sending an e-consult form, which I did on a Thursday. I heard nothing until the following Thursday. I was absolutely disgusted. However, I have now received a prescription, which seems to be sorting the problem out.

One aspect of access that has seen demand spike across the city is eConsult - which has unfortunately caused some delays in response time frames. Our patient utilisation of eConsult increased over 300% in a 12 month period. We appreciate it is a convenient method of routine and administrative contact, and so we are reviewing how eConsult can be used effectively, to maximise our capacity as an appointment led service.

Link I was sent to make appointment did not work, phoned and was told no appointment was necessary just pop in and I would be seen. When I came the next day the receptionist told me we do not do walk-ins, after I told her I had phoned and was told to just come in she went and asked someone and I was told to take a seat and they will fit me in, after that I was seen very fast and the doctor was very pleasant.

Doctors and Nurses have been very helpful with me. When you can speak to them. Trying to get app is almost impossible. On these phones.Would sometimes like to see Doc on general issues. Not just Urgent calls.But its impossible if lucky to get a reply. Get told no app.
