Almost impossible to get an appointment. Phone hangs up before you can get through. If you do actually get an appointment it's with a nurse practitioner not a doctor even if it's something serious.

Thank you for your feedback. When our telephone lines have reached capacity you cannot join the queue. With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

I spent days last week trying in morning and again at two and still didn't get anywhere and when I did was still not a doctor who I saw. Would be nice to not spend money I've not got trying to get appointments and would be nice to get back to seeing a doctor.

Blood Tests undertaken

5 out of 5 stars

Blood Tests taken as expected, results were very quick in coming back (next day) and I was very happy with the speed in which it was all done from making the appointment, the appointment itself and the results put onto my medical note.

Blood test/conversation

5 out of 5 stars

Right, not sure which this applies to but both blood tests, with two booster jabs were excellent no after effects. Everyone polite and friendly also helpful. Explained everything. Telephone conversation with Doctor with results explained everything especially advising another blood test two weeks time.

Efficiency excellent but it would be easier for me if my nearest surgery (Hayward road) did these sort of jobs.

Phone access

4 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
The staff at Kingston crescent are great when you get through. The online access is also very good.
My main complaint regarding the surgery is the amount of time you have to spend on hold, and the number of times you have to phone up to get through and that you have to listen to the long message before choosing an option and being told there are too many people in the queue and you have to phone back later.

Vaccination appointments

1 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
Having arrived at 3pm for my shingles jab, I waited 3/4 hour to see Dr. Locket. At no stage did anybody approach me, or inform me that the doctor wasn't in the building. When he arrived he was very quick to see me, and the Jabs were administered with total professionalism. Since then, my wife had a text message saying she was due a Pneumonia jab, and to book in on line! My wife does not do Internet, and her phone is not connected to the internet! After several attempts to contact the surgery, she was told that she could just walk in to the surgery, and get the jab, at any time! We now know that this is not the case, and all calls to the surgery go through a call centre in LONDON! After a discussion with the receptionist, she walked out, and now refuses to go back, even to make an appointment! Not a good start to our new amalgamated surgery!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that you experienecd such along wait for an immunisation. We will relay this to the team and ensure that they advise you of any waits - as it can be common around the middle of the day during peak visit times.

You can walk in for a vaccination and can reassure you that your experience is a very rare occurrence that we will learn from.

I can also assure you we do not have a team in London answering the phones! Our contact centre is based at our Cosham Park House surgery.

Waiting Time

A system is needed to keep people informed if there is a delay, my appointment was for 1620 and actually was seen at 1700, receptionist should be able to keep patient informed.

Thank you for your feedback. If you check in via our check in screen, you will be notified of a delay. Receptionists endeavour to alert patients to delays exceeding 20 minutes, however it may be that it was only the patient before you that was delayed unexpectedly. However we will feed this back to the team, thank you.

Although apprehensive, I was completely reassured by Adam Turner that this was a painless procedure and most people report complete success. Apart from the following day which was very painful, my knee has improved considerably.

My experience at the doctors

2 out of 5 stars
workingfeedback logo
I was referred by the opticians to the doctors as they had found a blood vessel in my eye had leaked. The doctors referred me to the hospital. The hospital canceled the referral and referred me back to the doctor. I’m still waiting to hear from the doctors. Telephoned the surgery to get some sort of update but the receptionist was not helpful whatsoever. She never supplied me with any information on the blood test I needed, I was not informed I had to fast before my blood test also she never told me I had to wait ten days until I could have my second blood test. I feel she should have been more informative.

Thank you for your feedback. Throughout the whole of the pandemic we have ensured that we have staff available both over the telephone and face to face to assist patients. We have limited resources and are maximising the appointments available.
