It was generally OK and my medical pracrioner was very supportive but there was a man at the back of waiting room with no mask coughing and spluttering and this made me feel very unsafe.

Thank you for your feedback. We adhere to the strict Government guidelines, therefore masks are expected to be worn by patients, however those that are exempt, we will work with on an individual basis, that is assessed at the time to ensure they can still be seen.

I've not had to go to the surgery much so am still new although I have been registered there since Hanway road closed. Finding it all a bit much as i'.m not sure what to do when I get there so different to the surgery I'm used to.

Treated with respect & given time by the nurse practitioner I saw, tho' had been told I would be seeing someone from the respiratory team. The nurse also confirmed that my request for a consult with the respiratory team of 2 weeks previous was still open as a task on my notes. Was pleased with her suggested treatment plan following discussion with her colleagues in the respiratory team. I am coming to the end of the medication prescribed now & will wait & see if my asthma stays under control

Sicknote extension

I requested online to get sicknote extension but was refused as was week before expires however the previous one took 2 weeks which causes me issue with my employer. So I called in and receptionist said would ask dr directly to spread up no electronic follow up request needed. I called back a week later and nothing done - that receptionist said she would also send to dr.
Dr Monnery the next day sent me text but he forgot to add the sicknote attachment.
I had to call back but admin line shut in morning so disconnected after waiting then hearing that message.
Rang back in afternoon, queue line of 12 but receptionist did instantly send by the text the sicknote I required.

I was a bit anxious about attending the surgery but the staff were lovely, the seating area is well layed out and screens at reception. My appointment was on time and my blood was taken painlessly and quickly.

They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Very efficient and friendly staff felt the hca was lovely and reassuring and made me feel confident in her abilities. New from Hanway and so far been very impressed. Was advised to buy a bp machine to use at home which I have done.

E consult

I made a special medicine request. I was told to fill in an e consult. I filled in an e consult in great detail. I had a phone call telling me I would receive a phone call consultation the following day. I got a text saying my request had been approved instead. Due to the time of my online request and the time my prescription was ready for collection I ran out of my tablets. On the packet it states, do not stop taking medication unless advised by a doctor.
