I have had lots of difficulties with Portsdown Group in general

This is the most recent example of difficulties I’ve had with Portsdown Group. Bearing in mind this is during a pandemic lockdown...My surgery is 100yards from my house, but I was sent to Kingston Crescent, a drive away, feeling unwell to see not a GP but a nurse practitioner. She gave me antibiotics but admitted they were not the ones she felt I needed, but the only one the system would allow her to prescribe. She sent me to the Hub, another surgery nowhere near mine, to get a blood test with no paperwork. Feeling unwell and in baking heat I arrived only to find the nurse had not recorded my appointment earlier in the day or the required requested test, so the person waiting to take my bloods didn’t know what she was being asked to do. I waited while she attempted to work out who I’d seen and what they wanted her to do. The same afternoon I got a call from Hanway Road surgery...I was being referred to the hospital and had to pick paperwork up- it could not apparently be sent by email, I had to collect in person. I didn’t know where the surgery was but the caller gave me directions. A couple of days later, I feeling a little better, I walked in the baking heat, during a pandemic, to Hanway road surgery (it took 40 mins from my home) only to find they had no idea why I was there, had no record of what they had to give me and there was no paperwork. They did not understand why I would have been told to go to them. I walked home again, called hospital who confirmed that no paperwork was required.

On a different occasion I was told I had to go to the hub to see a GP. when I arrived he asked why I had chosen to be seen at the Hub. I said it was where I was told I had to go and only surgery that had a GP available. He said he had driven from Heyward Road surgery, (my nearest surgery) because he was told it was where I wanted to be seen. We had both driven to somewhere less convenient for the appointment. It’s like there is no communication or organisation at all.

I attended for an 8am blood test. Wasn't seen on time but when I asked if I could have my blood pressure taken the nurse said she didn't have time as each patient was only allocated a few minutes for each appointment. I totally understand how under pressure our NHS staff are under but I am also concerned for my health having had some recent BP issues. The nurse I saw was friendly and professional I just left feeling disappointed and frustrated as I will have to make another appointment just to get my BP checked.
