Doctors were very kind and patient with me as I could barely speak, my chest infection was so bad. They were quick to diagnose my problems and arrange for my medication to be sent out immediately.
Now awaiting the results of my blood tests!
It would help to be told exactly what my problem was as it lasted for several weeks.
Is it possible to find out if I have had the Covid-19 Virus?

On time and efficient
Phoned the practice in the morning. Dr called back within the hour and arranged an appointment for me later the same day. Arrived at the surgery the Doctor saw me at the appointed time and was able to swiftly diagnose the problem and put my mind at rest

They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Cough and chest problem diagnoses
I have had a breathing problem since February ,due to covid19 I did not contact surgery till April when I got really bad , the only help I got was by telephone calls which involved three blood test and X-ray at walk-in centre and blood test at somerstown also prescriptions for a puffer and nasal sprays. At moment waiting for respiratory nurse to phone in a weeks time to see if things have improved.I still have not seen a doctor yet which is what I find frustrating as I’m sure this could of been sorted sooner .

Thank you for your feedback. With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Needs to do more
Not a very good surgery, not very helpful, never get an appointment without being almost Dead. Never get through on the phone and then when you do after about a week or more they try to talk you out of an appointment. Also need to be able to do more on line.

Due to the current pandemic where we can appointments are carried out over the telephone, however if it is assessed that a face to face appointment is required this will be arranged for you. We will always ensure medical need is the priority when we decide whether you need to attend for an appointment.

Doctors visit during Covid 19
I rang the surgery and a Dr called me back and after discussing my symptoms made an appointment for an hours time. All social distancing rules were rigidly applied. I felt for the Dr in full PPE as it was a hot day. All in All I cannot fault the surgery and having moved to the Portsdown Group from my previous surgery of 35 years have nothing but good to say about them.
