Dr was fine ,caring and interested tried her best, receptionist on the other hand are a different thing, one or two youngish ones are quality the older middle aged ones are rude and arrogant.

I’m giving this review as honest as I can be, and I am not one to normally say such things but it needs to be said.
This is my experience on the last few visits. I personally have found that the medical staff are absolutely brilliant, efficient, kind, polite and professional, unlike the receptionists!!
Geez!!! The receptionists are nothing short of rude! They are uneducated simple minded and common, and quite frankly NOT what you want to hear picking up the phone nor having to deal with when your poorly.
Disgusting behaviour and manners towards hard of hearing elders or poorly people.
I have been shocked on more than one occasion.
Unfortunately the Surgery is a part of the Portsdown group which leaves us little choice on changing surgeries.
So it’s a case of sit down, shut up, and wait months to be seen if your lucky enough to have an appointment.
So, as I said above, moaning isn’t something I do but this questionnaire was asked of me.
It needs to be said if there’s an opportunity to actually improve the service.

Appointments is so hard to get
As a productive member of society and works very hard to support my family. I pay taxes. I never can get an appointment with my doctor. Always with a practitioner nurse. I would like to remind you as a tax paying citizen that should be able to see my doctor as I need to speak and get my medication sorted out and speak about certain subjects. I think this surgery has no respect for a lot of their customers.

Thank you for your feedback. With the ever-increasing demands on our services, it is simply not possible or, indeed, appropriate for all our patients to see a GP, particularly for urgent problems. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners are fully clinically trained and supported by an on-site duty doctor if they need any assistance whatsoever.

Online check in didn’t work but receptionist checked me in. As an emergency appointment I was expecting to wait a long time but the wait wasn’t too bad. Saw Dr Chowdhury who was lovely. Came away with information on self treatment and a prescription.

Picking up medication
I'm surprised how quick our medication goes through with no hassle it's made a big difference compared to our old chemist.

I was impressed
I was impressed with the swift and efficient work and support of staff. I was seen quickly. I was listened to and signposted to where I could access the support and treatment needed. I’ve seen a GP who was fantastic and amazing. Without his time I wouldn’t have received the bereavement support I needed. When I’ve had appointments with the nursing team they’ve been equally as good.

I was very happy that repeat prescriptions can be ordered via the website but very disappointed that you can't make an appointment to see the doctor only make an appointment to see the nurse. Video calling would also be a great service between the doctor and patient also.

First class service
I was surprised to get an appointment which I am very grateful for.
The Lady Doctor I saw I thought was first Class.
Blood and Urine test taken phoned me back after the results were known and gave me a prescription and ultimately I am to have a further blood test and have been booked in for an Ultra Sound Scan at QA. All I can say is Thank you for a first class service.

The doctors are lovely and can't do enough but your receptionist are rude aggressive unhelpful they never smile, I've worked in customer service for over 20 years and I can honestly say I would never offer any of your receptionist a job. The only nice receptionist was one that came from another surgery and helped out for the day.
