Has made me seek a new practice

Since Ports down Group took over my GP Practice the quality of care has diminished and now come to the point where I am actively researching another practice who can facilitate my care.

As a 39 Year old professional I could like to consider myself cognitive and articulate but when ill as with anyone we are vulnerable. I simply do not feel I have safe access to care and provision through the practice which is has over expanded and failed to place sufficient resources into the mix.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

An excellent experience

I am very happy and with the care I received on my visit. The doctor was professional and friendly and he gave me excellent advice on everything I needed. Overall I had an excellent experience.

Pap smear test

My experience during this visit was good. The nurse was very professional in her conduct ie explained the procedure, asked if I wanted someone else with me in the room during the procedure and during the whole procedure she was talking to me which put me at ease.
She also explained the time frame within which my results would be expected with reasons.

Appointment

In general as a full time worker it has over recent years bean a huge problem being able to make an appointment. It’s just not possible to phone at the times when appointments are released. In the world of work it’s just not possible to break out and make a phone call that may take ages to eventually connect, it’s not realistic. I will only make an appointment when I need one, I don’t have time to waste, so always attend an appointment I have made.
Having said all that, when I get to see a doctor or nurse they have been great.
