I attended this surgery at 17:00 to have a cervical smear as my own surgery could not give me an appointment later than 15:30. The surgery was clean and welcoming and well signposted so I knew where to go. There were also receptionists on the desk. I was called in at the correct time to see a lovely lady who was chatty and helpful and I felt relaxed. She had a warm and professional manner. I enjoyed being in her company.

This was my first visit to Kingston Crescent Surgery after recently moving from Hayward Road Surgery.
Although I was impressed with the overall setup I am at a loss to understand why a simple blood testing should go so wrong! Several unsuccessful attempts later the nurse hit a vein which resulted in a lot of bleeding and a large lump appearing which needed considerable pressure to stop the bleeding. It was decided not to proceed further & I was told to make a further appointment in a few weeks time & sent home with a plaster on my arm & told to keep up the pressure until the bleeding had stopped & the lump had gone down. By the time I got home a very large dark bruise had appeared under the skin & next morning it was even bigger & darker. The lump didn’t disappear for several more days & there are still signs of the bruise 8 days later. I feel serious re-training is required to prevent this happening again. Let’s hope I am luckier next time.

I have B12 injections every few weeks, unfortunately this time the reception booked me firstly into a nurse clinic where the nurse could not deliver this injection and I had to wait one further week for the B12. With the B12 you do get very tired before the next one is due and to wait another week because your reception staff do not know which nurses can deliver which injections is very troubling.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand.at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

This is not my usual surgery but I came here as my doctors were booked up. I saw a practice nurse for a B12 injection and she was very friendly, kind and understanding that they hurt.

The nurse practitioner that I saw was lovely but were I needed a doctor to come out I spent the next 4 days in bed and my daughter had to phone 111 and they sent the ambulance and paramedics out where I felt so ill and I think if the doctor had come out and I didn’t have to drag myself to the doctors I wouldn’t have ended up so ill. I know you are all under pressure but to try and get a doctor out or get an appointment is getting beyond it .

I had to call a doctor out following a fall, the doctor immediately called an ambulance as I had fractured my pelvis. Spent nearly 3 weeks in hospital and aftercare has been excellent
