I've never had a bad experience. Everyone here has been very professional at all times. It's funny how no one can get an appointment, but in September 2018, there were 197 missed appointments .

Outstanding care
I have been seen by an outstanding nurse manager with the Portsdown Group who is empathetic and very caring, she seems to be one of the rare people who genuinely cares and takes time to ensure that the problem is resolved as much as is possible - she is a credit to her profession and the Portsdown Group.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to assure you that all of our staff are fully trained in customer care. They do, however, work in what can, at times, be a stressful environment and have to endure unacceptable levels of abuse. Thank you again for your feedback, which will be shared with our Surgery Reception Teams.

Zero bedside manner!!!
I was referred to portsdown practice by the rheumatology dept. At Q.A. Today because, as a result of being on immunosuppressants, I had developed a streptococcus infection in three of my toes. I was phoned by A doctor from Somerstown who read the microbiology report and recommendation tp prescribe antibiotics. I told him I was allergic to penicillin. And some other antibiotics and he became very impaitiened and rude and to my astonishment said- “I have limited options here. What do you want me to do?” I was tKen aback and replied “I don’t know. You are the doctor” he then repeated the question and I answered that as the i de toon was serious the hospital were expecting him to provide antibiotics. Thankfully, I was the sent to Kingston practice where I was treated by the nurse manager , who couldn’t have been lovelier or more empathetic

Staff issues
Reception staff at this surgery can be obnoxious and rude despite telling them your problems they do not care about your welfare once tellimg me to go to walk in centre at St Mary's as i had dressings hanging off risking infection
Regular required nursing appointments being cancelled Due to staff sickness and upon contacting surgery to be told basically tough is disgraceful even the complainants procedure nobody replies best advice use a different practice

Unable to make an appointment
I have been trying to get a routine appointment for four weeks now, all that’s available on line in cervical screening clinics. I did make a complaint and was informed there was not much they can ups do.
I was disappointed to find out that they have reduced their phone lines to only 15 to cover 6 surgeries and this is because they have had complaints about patients being on hold. Really poor for the biggest surgery in the area!

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Very rude staff at reception
This surgey is the most awful surgey that I have ever encountered. The staff are awfully rude and treat people with no respect. I tried ringing the surgey several times today and the phone was picked up, no answer and then the phone was disconnected on me. I then visited the surgey to make an appointment and was rudely told that in order to make travel appointment the doctor will call me, which I thought was bizarre. Have not received a call from the doctor yet. The staff at the reception could have been more respectful. Disgusting behaviour and staff like that should not be representing the surgey. It is highly embarrassing.

This is a family friendly Doctors
I have been with this Doctors for just over three years, I have brought my family and children to this Doctors due to how safe I feel while being treated here.
Over the years I have had a number of test and Hospital refuels done that have been quick due to the Doctors efforts and the treatment is fantastic, they have everything there from GP to HCA even a small minor operation room.
You will be involved every step of the way of your treatment and decisions. The Doctors will not sit on the PC writing away as hey tend to sit back away from the desk to fully understand what is going on, you will be able to build a good relationship with them also.
I can fully recommend this sugary
Same day GP or Nurse intervention
Calls from a Doctor no matter how busy they are.
Fast treatment
Confidential consolations.

Long waits, terrible perscription service
I've been with this GP for about 3 years and have finally had enough and am looking at other GPs.
There are very long waits for appointments, I'm usually told 3 weeks minimum though urgent appointments are booked the same day. Waiting for appointments is also long, I've not once been seen on time and usually feel rushed in my appointment.
The number services available have decreased with myself now having to have some treatments privately at my own expense or join a long hospital waiting list for "non essential" problems.
My partner uses the perscription service and has rarely had his perscription sent to his pharmacy on time, there always seems to be problems getting his medication in good time before he runs out.
I would not recommend this surgery, I've been to a number of far better ones in other towns.

Amazing Service
I have seen one of the Nurse Practitioners at the surgery a couple of times and they have been outstanding. They are extremely helpful and very reassuring about my health concerns. The Nurse Practitioner takes the time to listen and acknowledge my worries. Always professional and reassuring. They are a credit to the practice and if I need to be seen again I hope to see them.

Had to register here after old practice closure. So far so good but I wish it was easier to phone and the on line appts never have any spaces.

I have been with this Doctors for a while now. The Doctors are fantastic. My Doctor takes the time to sit away from the computer and talk, he makes you feel you can go there with trust and have a professional relationship with his patients.
