Flu jab

I had a flu jab and I’m am entitled to have Covid jab but vaccinator said I was too young but didn’t look at my records now without Covid jab.

Thank you for leaving feedback. We have a strict criteria set out for us on being able to give out Covid vaccinations, it may be that you have previously been eligible and no longer are under Portsdown Group Practice.

Having not seen a doctor for four years, I was impressed by the one I saw, he listened and actually had sympathy with my condition

Chest infection

I had a very bad chest infection and I thought I needed some antibiotics because I’ve got emphysema but he never thought it was bad enough. The next day I tested positive with COVID. Three weeks later still got a really bad chest and cough.

Problems

Whilst I realise it was not their fault that a power outage occurred, I find it unacceptable to know that the "contingency" plan was merely to say cancel your appointment and then phone to rebook as no computers were working. Why is there not a backup for this situation? I had brought my elderly, vulnerable father down from outside Portsmouth which is stressful in itself and to then face having to do it all again.

Thank you for your feedback. We have a very comprehensive contingency plan. Where possible we moved clinical staff to other sites and appointments, however, Kingston is one of our larger sites and with every will in the world we do not have capacity at other sites to move all appointments. We are sorry that so many patient's were affected.

Blood pressure

Was requested to book for blood pressure at the surgery. When I tried to book I could not book an appointment at Kingston Crescent. I have tried on several occasions but still cannot get an appointment at Kingston Crescent Surgery
