Cervical smear
The nurse made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She performed the procedure without any discomfort.
She also helped me to book an appointment with the menopause professional... I wouldn't have done this without her support.

Although a slight wait for an appointment, the nurse apologised at start of appointment. A very polite and professional nurse, offered advice and support. Good clinical skills with IPC/hand hygiene.

Blood test booking
I arrived at Kingston Crescent Surgery. A friendly young blond lady helped me. I thought if only many people can be this friendly, it wouldn't be so exhausting to go to the doctor. She was really lovely. Very helpful. Came in to book a health visit as my last one was cancelled. My name was called out and I was greeted by a nurse with the biggest smile. I thought wow, things have changed. She was very gentle taking blood. Answered all my questions. Really amazing. Now I just need to speak to a doctor.

Waiting appointment time
I had an appointment for 11:15, on the day of appointment I received a text stating, I could come to Kingston Crescent for my appointment between 9:15 and 11:15. This in my opinion was good to know there was a 2 hour window to see the G.P. I signed in around the 10:30 . For me it was a pointless text allowing me to think I could be seen earlier that appointment time, however I wasn't seen until 20 minutes after my appointment time, I feel I wasted my time waiting extra time, I'm not complaining that I was called in late.

Thank you for your feedback. It is possible that you may have been seen earlier if you had arrived earlier, it may have been that when you arrived the GP was seeing another patient, or there was something urgent that the GP was needed for.

Appointment
Not good, couldn't get an appointment, was told to phone Nhs 111, then spoke to them for the surgery to then put me on a call list, finally got an appointment, told the person I saw that I had a kidney infection. Was giving 3 days of antibiotics, didn't work. Had to come back a week later to then be told I had a kidney infection. Was given 7 day course of antibiotics, also, on my first appointment I asked if they could sign my pill off to be told I couldn't speak about anything but the appointment I was there for so wasn't very helpful, suffered with pain for another week, just to be told I had a kidney infection after all.

Excellent appointment, Lisa was very friendly, checked how I have been with my asthma, how I have been using my inhaler, any problems. Also sorted out another problem I had.

Blood test + tetanus injection
Blood test done, with no problem finding a blood vessel (unusual of late!). The nurse put me at my ease and then booked me in to have the injection, which was done almost immediately. Very impressive service.
