Blood test

Last Friday (9/5) I had a Blood Test at Kingston Crescent Surgery and I had a worry about the needle used to extract my blood out is whether a new and unused because I am always to be shown and informed in front of me by a healthcare assistant or registered nurse before taking a blood test. And the blood test was run so fast and I was not informed about when the blood test result will be available.

Thank you for your feedback. We will always use new needles and usually prepare the kit whilst the patient is in the room. If you get in touch with us we can put a note in your records to be clearer with this moving forward, as the room may not always be set up for it to be easily visible. Blood test results are typically 3 days - some tests can take longer. Please visit our website for more information on test result timeframes.

Went for blood test and as usual staff were pleasant and helpful, the nurse made an appointment for me to see a doctor so that I could have my covid vaccination whilst I was at surgery which was very much appreciated.

The overall attitude of the staff I see is very patient and caring. Respect is always shown to me as an elderly person encountering the difficulties old age brings for the first time. Any explanations or directions given are easy for me to understand. Thank you

I had trouble with my left ear in as much as I had gone deaf in that ear!
I thought it maybe the fault of my hearing aid so I went to Scrivens who supplied them and was given an appointment to see one of their Guru's who after a thorough investigation of my ear informed me that I had an infection in the ear and said I was to make an appointment with my GP and in the meantime he would write to the Crookhorn Practice reference my trouble.
So that's how I came to be sorted out.
The Lady I saw was superb and quickly identified the problem and wrote a prescription out for treatment, which I feel now that it has worked wonders and I can now say my hearing has improved significantly. Thank You
