Thank you for leaving feedback. I just want to make you aware that in January our call centre agents answered 20,159 calls, and we had 3,304 GP appointments available. We book 1 week ahead for general appointments, and on the day for urgent appointments. These all go very quickly, so you need to phone as soon as the line is open for the type of appointment booking.

The Dr’s here are fantastic, they are through and professional caring and considerate. I transferred to them about a year ago and have been able to see them and been diagnosed quickly A+ service

Today I had a very bad experience with my skin appointment. I was suffering for a week and got appointment 7 days after my call. I was waiting to see the doc. I have many issues and questions regarding my skin which I faced multiple times. When I met my doc he was not welcoming and was not ready to listen to my problem. He was rude and kept on saying I have not enough time. Otherwise, I always had very good experiences with other doctors.

The last 3 appointments have been excellent. Miss Jacqueline Barrett (Specialist Nurse Practitioner) was very understanding and helpful and has made appointments for various procedures in the future.
Mrs Louise Davies (Nurse Access Role) was the first nurse to look at the wound problem and was very efficient and set up all future dressing appointments as well as a Doppler appointment. The appointments I have had with her & Ms Karen Adams (Healthcare Assistant) have been excellent. They have been very professional and helpful.
The only problems I have had have been in trying to get an initial appointment. Although helpful the people manning the telephone system seem to be over worked with the number of patients in the practice. It takes an age to get through at the 8am and 10am slots and in many cases you end up as above 30 in the order even when telephoning at the exact time.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am pleased that on whole the service you receive once you have gained access is to your liking. We hear you when you state that the initial access is the issue, however currently all areas of the health service have capacity issues and we are not immune to this. I would like to assure you that our contact centre does have sufficient staffing and although queue numbers may seem high, we get through calls very quickly and the call back facility does assist patients who would prefer not to hold on the line.

Thank you for your feedback. We really do try not to cancel appointments and if we do where possible we will rebook and text through the new date, however when this is not possible we will ask for the patient to rebook at their convenience.

The nurses that take the blood need to go back to training and learn how to take blood from persons with fine/narrow veins. They think you are a pin cushion even after telling them to use small needles they don’t listen nor do they have empathy or the simple decency to ask questions.
