I was very impressed with the help & assistance given from the reception team in dealing with my initial enquiry & also prompt attention given to seeing both the nurse & doctors dealing with my appointment, also my thanks to the receptionist of whom I believe is named Alex who was very polite, informative, helpful & a credit to the surgery.

The nurse did her best but failed to take blood from my left arm, had 3 vials of blood from my right arm leaving a massive bruise, not her fault, otherwise this surgery is great, we are lucky that they take the time to contact you when you need tests taken, we are lucky to have a caring professional looking after us.

Kingston Crescent Surgery - B12 Injection

I arrived at my appointment which I booked myself weeks in advance, only to be told that I cannot have my B12 injection as I booked it one week too early. The nurse/healthcare assistant apologised and said that the doctor did not allow her to do it. I was told that I will have to rebook it gor anther time and date as Kingston Crescent or any othet Portsmouth Surgeries did not have any availability. I had to book an appointment in Paulsgrove in a place I have never bern to during rush hour, hoping that I will be able to make it in time. There was no warning or any other information on the systen telling me that I am not allowed my B12 injection one week earlier than my due date. I did not get the customary message to remind me of my B12 like I used to do previously. I did not find any information on any NHS websites about not being allowed B12 injection one week earlier.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you were unable to have your B12 as it was too early. You should be advised at your appointment when you next one would be due and that it cannot be given prior. Alternatively the surgery can book your next appointment for you when due. We cannot put a warning on our website due to the number of regular injections that are given that would also need to be covered.

I was very apprehensive as the appointment was to transfer from tablets to insulin injections. The nurse Nikki was very helpful and made everything very straightforward. I would say she was excellent and I came away much happier.
