Cancelled my appointment as I got into the surgery. The Receptionist was really sweet, she got someone else to do my bloods. And the nurse was really sweet to fit me in. But I think it's a bit rude to cancel right before the appointment as I made my way in.

The practice nurse, was abrupt, unempathetic, treated me with a lack of dignity and respect. Would not listen to what my wife and I had to say about my heart, copd and emphysema. Treated me like I was worthless, job shy and lazy. Not happy with her at all. One week previously in a phone conversation she treated me exactly the same.

An Unexpected Amazingly Superb Service

After hearing so much in the media about our crumbling NHS I was truly amazed at the service I received on Monday. It started at 08:00 hrs when I rang for an appointment and was dismayed when I was told that I was the 90th caller in a queue!!!! I pressed the option for a call-back, and was delighted to see the queue shortening so fast.
I'd calculated that they were answering one call every thirty seconds! After the callback, a doctor then rang me back ten minutes later! Then, wonder of wonders, at 10:30 I was sitting in front of the doctor.
Within thirty minutes the Doctor, a very nice young lady, had read all my notes, carefully listened to what I had to say, completed a thorough examination, and organised, several tests and an Xray. This was a Rolls Royce Service. So well organised, warm, efficient, and friendly.
The questionnaire asks:
"Could something have been done differently? Let them know in confidence."
Yes: They could have offered Champaign and Caviar upon arrival. No this is a service that just cannot be improved.
