Who to blame who to blame.... lack of staff, no appointments, underqualified reception staff, this all goes back to our government... I have seen a lot of bad reviews here for the surgery but you cannot blame the people who are trying their utmost best on a day to day basis to support the community with what they have.... In the beginning it was all about the 'foreigners' flooding our nhs system, then we had brexit, with promises of better services. So what happened to our nhs services, weren't they supposed to get better after brexit? Oh hold on, but then we had covid for two years.... and now its the war in Ukraine... Blame the foreigners for taking out jobs and using up all our nhs resources, blame brexit, and then covid... This country has no money because our government is sending billions to 'help' fight a war that we have no part in. Money that could be used to help 'our' failing nhs service.
So before you leave a negative feedback, look back at how we got in this mess in the first place. Unfortunately this is what the government wants, those who can afford private treatment are ok, unfortunately those who cant are at loss. If you want to blame someone blame the government not the surgery staff

A most professional approach
Pleasantly surprised to find my appointment was on time. The nurse carrying out the evaluation of my needs to treat my asthma was carried out expertly.

Despite having an appointment time I had to join a queue with everyone else, some who had come earlier than their given appointments. It was very cold waiting outside and had no means of sitting down until you were 3-4 in the queue. Great for able bodied people not so great for me and the wife.

The appointment times for our vaccination clinics are used more as a guidance to the number of patients we are expecting, we cannot stop patients that choose to arrive early, and cannot police the queue, however any patient who is unable to stand in a queue for a period of time just needs to advise our staff and they will of course offer you a seat.

Just one slight problem, the doctor was running 50 minutes late with her appointments and I received a parking ticket, however the surgery staff dealt with the ticketing company and the fine was rescinded.

Query dizziness
After attending hospital re heart/high blood pressure I was prescribed three lots of new medication. After being released from hospital and taking this medication I experienced very severe dizziness. I phoned the surgery to ascertain whether this medication was causing the dizziness and was requested to attend the Cosham surgery were I saw a lovely lady doctor. She assured me she thought that the dizziness wasn't caused by the meds. but was concerned about my ongoing chest pains. The surgery arranged for me to be taken to QA once again. After two days and more tests I was reassured that heart and lungs were OK and one of the new medications were no longer required but a seven-day course of tablets would help to relieve the dizzy spells. If they continued after that the GP had given me useful exercises I could do.
