This was my first appointment. Everything about my experience was very good. The nurse explained everything about diabetes to me. The nurse and trainee nurse checked my feet. All very professional.

NHS Health Check
As I am 65 years old, I qualify for a free NHS Health Check which was carried out by Amy Cook at the East Cliff Medical Practice. An initial introduction of what the Health Check would consist of was most helpful to relax any nerves. Each test was then carefully explained and each test was carried out in a calm and professional manner. The results were then discussed with opportunities to raise any questions. It was really helpful that Amy then printed off the results and signposted areas for help in certain areas (eg dietary requirements) if required, offering to assist with referrals and kindly providing an Eatwell Guide. I have nothing but total praise for Amy who was clear, concise, diplomatic (especially regarding my weight), respectful and, in short, a wonderful ambassador for your practice. PLEASE THANK AMY.

Face to face appointment !
It’s very difficult to get a GP appointment when I really need it but if the GP requests to see you it’s a much easier process. I’m quite often better or have had a trip to Estuary View or A&E by the time I get a face to face appointment. Dr Siva is very thorough, honest, helpful and very humorous and is a tonic before he even prescribes any meds. When I do get to see him he listens and refers me to appropriate departments. Because of my medical history I unfortunately do need to see the GP more often than I would like. However Dr Siva is helping me to get everything under control again.

Appt with physio for GTPS
Craig was very helpful, listened to what I said, asked relevant questions and then suggested a course of action. He was very pleasant with an easy going manner but very professional. I felt he understood my problem. He suggested a steroid injection in my hip, which he did the following day. He has made a follow-up appt for next week. Would thoroughly recommend.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a long wait. Sadly there are many clinics going on at once and people seeing different clinicians. Sadly it is inevitable that in any healthcare setting there is going to be delays due to the multi-chronic diseases that some patients have that require attention which I do hope you can understand. Our reception staff are extremely busy behind the front desk dealing with queries and medical issues from the clinical team which must be their priority.

My blood pressure review was with the doctors pharmacist. She suggested one item on my repeat prescription for IBS I should buy myself. The item being Mebeverine. I told her that it was only available on prescription but she said no that is not true. I've been told by Boots pharmacy this is only available on prescription. Felt confused
