Review of controlled medicine
Very useful, supportive phone call from the doctor after a callback request, difficult for me at the moment to discuss my illness (just diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer ) but Dr Mash and the receptionist give me enough time to explain my issues and as stated before were very knowledgeable and supportive.

Never the same doctor!
Always a different doctor or physician-assistant, the nominally regular doctor being only part-time - so no continuity of conversation and much time taken by constant reference to the digital records.
Incidentally, it is somewhat shocking that other patients have to give personal detail/sympton information to reception staff within hearing and sight of the whole waiting room.

Telephone consultation with pharmacist
Very pleasant lady who was very patient at calculating all the medication my father is on for his serious medical condition, attempting to synchronise them so he isn't constantly panicking about each one running out each week!
A very lovely pharmacist who understood the situation and was able to give good advice.

Continuing excellent service
I am always happy to have a spot with my doctor. She is attentive, listens carefully and seems genuinely concerned for my well being. The receptionists are also very helpful.

Blood pressure
BP machine not working so the receptionist gave me two other options. Used the machine in The Grange. I was surprised at the 3 readings I took & asked advice from a “passing nurse”. She told me to tell somebody at East Cliff immediately, which I did. The receptionist found me an appointment with a nurse within a few hours. Again, BP taken and the nurse physically took them to be looked at by a GP. I was told to go straight to A&E which I did. I felt that in awkward circumstances, I was looked after properly at the surgery.

Acute care practitioner was fantastic
I managed to book my dad a same day appointment with Faye, the acute care practitioner, after he had been poorly. Faye was brilliant, she fully assessed him and straight away had concerns which led her to send him to A&E, she listened and was proactive and caring, he went to A&E and was diagnosed with sepsis, kidney injury and gallstones.
We as a family are very grateful that we got a same day appointment and that Faye was so thorough, thank you Faye.
