The phone appointment system is failing as there is, apparently, no means by which the surgery can let you know that their phone appointment consultation will not be calling me on the time they have agreed. I waited from mid morning until late afternoon -missing an optician's appointment - my first phone call to the surgery replied doctor running late. Second phone call similar answer: then spoke to doctor around 3pm.. I'll never accept a phone appointment again.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a long wait. Sadly there are many clinics going on at once and people seeing different clinicians. Sadly it is inevitable that in any healthcare setting there is going to be delays due to the multi-chronic diseases that some patients have that require attention which I do hope you can understand. Our reception staff are extremely busy behind the front desk dealing with queries and medical issues from the clinical team which must be their priority.

East Cliff doctors surgery
Had recent blood tests at the surgery and all staff were lovely. The nurse taking the blood was very polite and made me feel at ease. She held a proper conversation with me whilst taking bloods and was caring. She even followed me out and held open the doors for me as I found them difficult to open.
Surgery was clean and tidy with a pleasant atmosphere

Excellent care / poor online booking experience
Attention and care by medical team has been excellent, thorough and friendly in my experience, but the digital booking experience simply appalling.
I work in digital, for a major financial institution and I struggled- I can’t imagine how someone who doesn’t have that experience and knowledge would manage. Not user friendly, inappropriate mandatory questions- baffling process.
Are vulnerable clients/ patients (elderly or otherwise) expected to use this?
