Once I mastered the online triage (timed out the first time - my fault took a work call!), the online process was very smooth. The actual Dr’s appointment was a little frustrating as the prep in the triage was seemingly not transferred - I was there for cancer related follow up and the dr thought it was a sprained ankle. Triage and detailed letter from consultant did not seem the cornerstone to the appointment. The dr did address the issues, I am grateful but they made me feel like I was problem & they made an aside about pleasing the consultant. After the letter and the triage I felt the pathway was fairly clear so what can I do to improve that?

Not an easy discussion...
I needed to discuss my future NHS care and routes - possibly at the end of my life. Given that I am intolerant of anti clotting/blood thinning meds/statins etc, have a coronary stent and significant narrowing in a carotid artery, leading to mini strokes...I wanted to discuss ways forward regarding future treatment. I was able to have a full and honest discussion with my GP Dr Mash and Practice Nurse training to prescribe. They had prepared, were sympathetic, respectful, considerate and thoughtful. The appointment was not rushed. I left feeling a sense of relief, that there are and would be clear plans around my end of life wishes, my Respect form etc. Dr Mash and the Practice Nurse helped me to think through future situations and scenarios and I am reassured. Not an easy topic. Thank you both. You made a big difference.

Plantar Fasciitis
After having Plantar Fasciitis for 5 months I had an assessment at East Cliff Surgery. I was given a course of high impact exercises. My condition immediately improved. However, on the 5th day I awoke to discover that my condition was now worse than before I visited the Surgery.
