Professional and engaging staff
My mother recently had a lung test. Two nurses clearly explained and demonstrated the technique but unfortunately after many attempts my mother still couldn't achieve the quality of technique required to satisfy the machine. Nurses were very attentive and reassured my mother that it was not her fault.

Uncomfortable Experience
To be honest this 1st consultation with a new GP was unwelcoming. From the start I felt I had to defend myself with an irate cross examination about the content in the E consult. "Did you write this or didn't you?" "We only discuss one thing" "I'll read it again" Holy Cow! This was followed with abrupt questioning, fired at me before I could answer. I had to ask if I could speak now? I just wanted to leave. I don't see why I should tolerate a bombastic GP. In the end he did arrange for some tests. Not looking forward to meeting this man again.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a long wait. Sadly there are many clinics going on at once and people seeing different clinicians. Sadly it is inevitable that in any healthcare setting there is going to be delays due to the multi-chronic diseases that some patients have that require attention which I do hope you can understand. Our reception staff are extremely busy behind the front desk dealing with queries and medical issues from the clinical team which must be their priority.

What do I pay my taxes for?
I tried to book an appointment and the online booking system was not active. I then phoned my practice who brushed me off and informed me that I needed to use the online booking system and that it operated on the same working hours as the practice, who would have thought a system needed a lunch break. Left short of breath and worried about a worsening condition I submitted my form and anxiously waited for a response from a medical professional. When I then got my appointment and was seen, I was seen by a nurse who opened the appointment by reducing my condition to a common cold. I know not to go to the doctors for a basic cold, but I also know my body and this was no common cold. Turns out I did have chest infection and has taken more than 3 weeks to clear without the help of any antibiotics or relief. I am disappointed that this is what our health services are reduced to post covid and feel let down. I question in an emergency or with a slow developing condition it may not be caught in time and a devastating result may occur.

My annual blood test and pressure check up.
The two tests were carried out by Miss Amy Cook in a designated room at the Surgery. The two tests were done in a couple of minutes. Amy was very professional and very easy to get on with. I can't fault the experience.

Appointment to discuss recent MRI scan results
Dr Pick was so thorough and helpful. He talked and listened carefully to my current symptoms and relayed information about my scan results. He has referred me to neurology because he doesn't feel the scan has given enough information to explain what might be happening with me. Everything about how he dealt with my appointment and ongoing concerns was compassionate, caring and professional. I felt really grateful because I had been waiting a long time through the system to have my scan done.
