Phone appointment, on time

Following a conversation with a lovely receptionist where I opted for a phone appointment with a pharmacist rather than my GP at a set time, I was concerned that it wouldn’t be on time after receiving a text giving me a 2 hour slot! However there was no reason to worry as my call was on time and the pharmacist was lovely. Not a fan of the online booking system but once that is navigated it appears the service is as good as ever.

Was contacted and seen quickly

I am pleased that I was seen quickly and heard back promptly from the surgery. I am still waiting to hear about a date for my kids health check, though

Nurse visit

I came for my second shingles vaccination, which was fine, the nurse took the time to help with a skin problem and was able to offer a suggestion of a cream to use.

A Huge Thank You for an Excellent Appointment

Although I arrived early, Hannah (the clinical pharmacist) began the appointment as soon as I checked in. She was very pleasant, kind, understanding, thorough and professional. She listened and responded appropriately to all my questions. All in all this was an excellent appointment. I was also able to make an appointment for the RSV vaccine during this visit to the surgery and again this was dealt with in an excellent manner by the receptionist who was both kindly and efficient. My grateful thanks to each of these ladies.

Came to see Dr as I needed to be re-referred for a knee op, has been going on for 2 yrs, the e-mail was sent whilst still at the surgery. Within 2 hours I was sent a long awaited appointment from Spencer Ward.

Great Care

I attended for an ECG that was promptly and professionally conducted. The doctor immediately reviewed the results and discussed them with me as well as swiftly running through recent test results. I felt as if I was properly cared for rather than being rushed through.

Follow up

Had an eight week follow up for my heart condition. Medication seems to be working. Doctor was happy. Referred me for a heart scan to check there are no hidden issues.

Fantastic Service

My experience at this practice was a night and day difference to my previous practice. The e-consult was reviewed by a GP promptly and an appointment arranged for the next day.

Iryna was friendly and quickly saw I relied on lip reading due to issues with my hearing. She explained her role and how physician associates work with GPs. She identified the issue and a course of action. The follow up appointment was also a good experience.

For all the negative press around physician associates this practice appears to be using the role well. Working with GPs they make an effective use of resources making sure more patients can be seen while maintaining standards.

Other practices in the area should take lessons on the efficient and friendly service offered at this practice.
