Quick and easy
I originally tried to book a nurse appt through new system and couldn't, so sent an admin request.
I received a call same day and booked in for 3 days later.
During appt I was made aware by the nurse that only appts for doctors needs to go through new system and all other appts you can call up as nomal.
There was no fuss at all and now I know

Appointment system
This is the third time I have used the present system of making an appointment. I am very satisfied with the system and I approve of the idea that the requests are studied and a person of sufficient skill to attend to one’s problem is decided on. I would prefer that it is made clear the qualification of the person one sees is made clear though in order that one can have confidence in the outcome.

Delightful Old style GP Consultation
I was seen by a older locum doctor, who unlike most, was unrushed, taking time to talk, showing a genuine interest in my conditions and addressing my anxiety. I miss this type of doctor so much.

Last GP appointnent
An appointment that did not resolve a chronic condition of 5 years. I’m going round in circles. I have been referred back to physio who has not been able to help. I therefore wanted to try another treatment called shock wave treatment and get a referral but that was refused.

I contacted the surgery using the new booking system at 8am about my health concerns. At 8:30 I was called with an appointment straight away, the practitioner I saw was very friendly, listened to me, completed a thorough assessment and then explained the process to my referral and did it straight away. Diabetic check up
The nurse was very thorough and explained everything in detail to me. She asked if I had any issues and I told her about my feet going numb etc, she confirmed this when she tested them as sensation not good. She confirmed she would speak to GP. She did height, weight and BP and gave me a telephone appointment. She was very caring and efficient. I was very happy with my consultation.

Good meeting with GP. Everything is clearly explained. Rapid bookings made for follow up. What is worrying is that no one informed me of the need for urine test follow up. It was just lucky that I was there for something else.
