Getting an appointment was fine but there was a bit of a wait for availability, when isn’t this the case with any doctor's in the country these days? Reception staff were helpful and polite and the nurse was great, had time to listen and I didn’t feel like I was being rushed. Great service all around. I couldn’t ask for more.

Medication Review

I applied for a medication review after picking up the last of my years worth of medication as directed by the pharmacy. However following a phone call from the doctor (via econsult)and waiting for blood test I am now waiting for a telephone results consultation in 3 weeks time. This means that although I started this process when I had a months worth of medication I will run out a week before I next speak to the doctor / complete the review. The review process is very drawn out and slow.

We apologise for the appointment wait, we are providing the most amount of appointments we can safely. I do hope that you can understand that the system is currently in high demand but we are trying our best for all patients at the practice.

Breakdown of a patient

I attended a physiotherapy appointment, and was feeling somewhat unwell and clearly low.
During the appointment I just broke down and cried. Then I just couldn't stop.
I was embarrassed and I have to say....
...The staff were totally amazing.
The physiotherapist was lost, bless him ...wasn't expecting that when he turned up for work. He was so so kind and kept apologising. Though he hadn't done anything wrong. He sought help from the amazing receptionists who were busy at the desk, but still had the compassion and time to offer help and tissues. I was quickly booked in to see the nurse practitioner for the following morning.
In this world we are all very quick to complain when things go wrong.
But I can, hand on my heart, express thanks and gratitude to the amazing teamwork of the team working that morning.

Ultra sound examination

I came in for an ultrasound on my liver after an MRI I had at the hospital in December showed a lesion.
The scan was fine, although the practitioner found a cyst, she called it a simple cyst. She assured me that it shouldn't be anything to worry about but she asked me where on my liver the lesion had been found, I genuinely didn't know the answer to this and she didn't have any notes on the MRI report. I now have to wait for her to locate this information and to hopefully collaborate that the cyst and lesion are in the same place. If there is a discrepancy, I will have to come back again for another appointment and scan. I find this to be a huge waste of time and resources on everyone, all because she didn't have the relevant notes and information to hand on my visit. Surely this should not have been the case?

Despite having a message to say I would ge contacted within a certain time frame, this didn’t happen. Using the firm to resubmit my request I was contacted via phone by a doctor, who then gave me an appointment later that day. So can’t fault that service.

I have had a number of contacts in the last week plus.
This review request does not cite the specific engagement I am requested to comment on.
Assuming it regards the recent request for me responding to a text for me to phone in to set up an appointment, the call handling was fine but the appointment offered was disappointing at effectively 3 weeks leadtime.

Filled in an online form for knee pain. Have been referred to a physio and told to purchase pain medication by text. Would have thought I may have been contacted by a doctor or referred for an x-ray or something.
