Initial receptionist that organised my appointment was attentive, empathetic and professional. The actual appointment was prompt and the Dr listened and acted immediately with relevant medication and within a few days I began to feel better. Whole service provided was greatly appreciated.

Swift and effective help given

Took time off work to have a blood test, arrived on time on the given date that was on my paper given to me from the surgery and was told it hadn't been booked on the computer and sent away, I'd already been waiting 5 weeks for this appointment, not happy.

I recently received an invitation from the NHS to make appointments for my annual Flu & Covid Injections which I made with the local chemist in Dymchurch, as I usually do. Unfortunately when I attended the chemist, Jennifer, decided that I was not eligible for the Covid injection even though I have a compromised immune system due to Bladder cancer, treated with chemotherapy, breast cancer, treated with radiotherapy & am a type 1 diabetic, all of which I made her aware of. She stated if I didn't have anything on her sheet of conditions she couldn't give it. I told her I would make further enquiries with yourselves - then she stated that if you said I could have it, then she'd fit me in between booked apointments on another day.
I telephoned to check & Andrea, on reception, looked at my records & stated it was probably because she couldn't see my doctors records. But she immediately reassured me & booked an appointment with the Sun Lane surgery at New Romney. When I attended the nurse said she had also checked with them that I could have the Covid injection. I must compliment Andrea on the way she dealt with my enquiry, she was polite, efficient & very reassuring. She is a great asset to your team. Thank you

We had occasion to contact the surgery on Wednesday last & spoke to a lovely lady called Andrea. She was very polite, listened to my husband's issues with his infection on skin which had not cleared up after one week of antibiotics & made him a doctors appointment for later that day. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond their control, this appointment was later cancelled & an appointment offered for Friday. However, Andrea then telephoned early Thursday morning & offered an appointment for that day, when he saw the doctor she immediately gave him stronger antibiotics & advised that he should contact the Dermatology Team at Kent & Canterbury immediately as she suspected he might have Cellulitis. He was able to get an appointment at the hospital for Friday & the team are taking this forward as a matter of urgency. Andrea's service was exceptional, she was polite, caring & extremely helpful - she is a credit to your surgery & we felt you should be made aware of this.
