Reassuring and professional
After submitting an e consult I was seen by the ANP who was very thorough and consulted with the GP who was also thorough. I had a routine blood test earlier that day which she managed to get extended to include more tests rather me needing an additional test. When the results came through the ANP reviewed them with me, there was nothing of concern but to be sure she referred me to QA for further tests which confirmed the diagnosis. It was all very reassuring and professional. Thanks.

Skin lesion
I saw Nurse Lisa and she was very efficient, friendly and took photos of the lesion that keeps coming back and a few more that won’t disappear. The main one I went to the Surgery to be looked at keeps oozing puss and is uncomfortable. I would thoroughly recommend nurse Lisa and the Oaks Health Centre.

Trying to get through to speak to someone very difficult, once I did and was able to see someone excellent service. Just wish it went back to how it used to be instead of on the phone with options of go everywhere to see someone instead of appointment to come see your own Doctor???

Frustrating and disorganised
First issue, Hayley health practitioner prescribed a medication that there has been a national shortage of for weeks, and is unavailable, chemist says surgery is aware of this, So have to start process again to correct.
Second issue, Wait three weeks for a telephone review for medication, no notice of what time the gp will call on the given date, missed the call whilst driving to work, gp says she calling about a matter unrelating to the actual reason she’s needing to speak with me, she says call me back, 33minutes on hold to reception, to be told she will call me back and not heard again from her, When will this service improve for the sake of the patients?!

Infection
I needed to confirm that my ear infection had cleared as I have an appointment with audiology for treatment and I didn’t want to waste an appointment if they couldn’t give me treatment. I know it is not the policy to just check an infection but I am prone to ear infections and didn’t want it to effect my treatment because it had not cleared and that I couldn’t find anyone to check, my mind and frustration was put at ease when you said you would have a look. Thank you.

I always have excellent care at the Oaks. This time I was seen by Dr Sue Stanley, what a lovely lady. I was treated, my drugs were reassessed and corrected, she locked at the large skin graft on my skull, result of Sarcoma being removed. Good advice given. It is a shame that she has retired ( I understand why though). Keep up the good work. Kindest regards Phil Key

I did take almost an hour to get through. Once the benefits of the ebooking system was explained to me by a very helpful receptionist, it all made sense. She then input the ebooking information for me. I was called back the same day, but sods law, I was away from my phone for a minute. I was then called the next morning and had an appointment with the nurse the same day.
