There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

Disastrous triage system which only helps the doctor but is very frustrating for the patient causing the patients to get angry and stressed before they have an appointment. The practice requires more telephone lines and more receptionists answering calls. Telephone lines should be open earlier. Website could be more helpful also, it seems to me to be very limited.

Excellent Service
I had never been to Crookhorn Surgery before, I am a Cosham Park House patient. I was referred to Crookhorn as I had found a lump in my breast and Crookhorn had a free appointment. The staff were very nice. The lady I saw, possibly a triage lady was lovely. Very caring and calm. She referred me to QA and I was seen there within a week. Great service from Crookhorn and good parking too.

My appointment was fine, the nurse was lovely and made me feel at ease, I am just very disappointed that you are kicking me out of your surgery because I have moved house out of catchment, Dr Mannings is the only doctor I have met that treats me right with my condition and I plan on starting a family he was supportive when I was pregnant until I lost the baby, I was hoping I could still see him but now I cant because you have kicked me out. I am gutted and very disappointed, especially as all the surgeries nearer to my new home are rubbish and dont take my condition seriously.

The walk in service was excellent
The walk in service was excellent. An immediate assessment of my needs was made and I was given the injections. This was after a friendly greeting by the doctor who made me feel very welcome on my first visit to the practice. The receptionist also greeted me warmly and after explaining the process went on to order a repeat prescription to be sent to the pharmacy. It appears to be a well run practice.

Wife and self called into the surgery spoke to the receptionist who asked us to take a seat within a few minutes we were called in to the Doctor, Within ten minutes we were on our way home again.

Getting an appointment. I rang at 8.02 on Friday and it took about 5 attempts to get into the queue. I eventually got onto triage. The Dr said I needed blood tests and could make appointment at the surgery and follow up with a routine visit. OK. So I went to surgery, for flu jab and to arrange blood test. Blood test couldn't be done for two weeks. I took my forms to the clinic at QA. Following this I rang from home for a routine visit -as per instruction. On the phone I went from no 8 to no 1 in the queue and then your phone went silent with no recording ! Time at this point was 32 minutes! I rang again to be told no 10 in queue. I gave up and shortly after 14.00 I went to surgery and got an appointment for Thursday. However having told the receptionist what had happened I got no explanation! The Dr's are OK when you get to them. But to recommend the practice is hard as there is little choice but them in the area.

I love Crookhorn surgery and the staff however I really do not like the new telephone system you either get cut off straight away or you phone and get the same message from the doctor only to be cut off again. It took me 5 attempts before I actually got to the you are 13 th in line . It also appears to bepretty difficult to get a routine appointment . I appreciate that doctors are busy but I do not believe your appointment system has progressed for the better.
