IPF condition appointment
My treatment was very good, the Doctor excellent. What lets the whole surgery down is
a) The triage system (25min wait for someone to answer telephone). Crookhorn patients appear to disadvantaged by having to go through the Cosham Surgery telephone system, once past this hurdle/barrier Crookhorn deals with and responds quickly to need for appointments.
b) The difficulties around getting appointments (not on this occasion).
c) Length of time it takes for someone to answer the phone up to 25mins on most days.
d) Doctors generally good and helpful.

I called in to my surgery to make a future appointment and ask a question.
I had recently received a text informing me that I was due for a booster inoculation. As soon as the words left my lips it was suggested I sat in the waiting room and the evil deed would be done there and then! And it was!!

It took a little time to get through on phone but managed to get appt for both times I rang. Not happy that one of the receptionist team was tearing a strip off a patient in public for not checking her medication before she left the pharmacy. I could understand why the staff were so annoyed with her. Apparently they'd had the same conversation before but I didn't like the way she was spoken to and in public was not only embarrassing for the patient but uncomfortable for us in the waiting area.

Advice on my frequency of bladder problem
Originally had a telecon discussion with Dr Gaston 15/7 about my concern I had a urine infection
Gave blood and urine samples 16/7
Initially had a telephone discussion with Dr Mannings & then an appointment 30/7
At the appointment had a discussion on my frequency of passing water, had a prostrate examination advised to start a programme of Tamsulosine 30/7
This seemed a long time tone seen for what I thought was originally an infection.
