Very happy with this surgery

I have no problems here, the front staff, nurses and doctors are kind and helpful, the reception staff in particular have gone the extra mile to help me out with prescription. The latest appointment system works well, speaking to a doctor when you phone, for triage, is a great improvement.

I was surprised to get a appointment within a week for a Routine Appointment, what a waste of time, the lady doctor called Dr S something cannot remember, I needed a referral on Physio's instructions re Mortons Neuroma and wanted to talk about me coming off my medication and admit I have a few medical things to discuss. All she would say was I was out of time ( 3 times) and could only discuss one thing and she had people waiting. So what does one do ? Am I supposed to book 4 separate appointments for each issue?

Phoned GP surgery at 14.17pm to be today gp has closed all emergency appts for today and to wait till 18.45 and call 111 for OOH. Asked if this was protocol told YES !! I have a very irrational critical illness and then told this.

I had to try for three weeks to get an appointment with the doctor, every time I phoned I was put in a queue and by the time I got to no 1 there was no appointments left. When I did manage to see the doctor every thing was fine. I think the appointment system needs to be sorted out.

Why is it necessary for everyone to have to phone at 8am and end up in a queue, cannot the phones be open all day to make a appt

My appointment was early, as was I, so I was seen early. Everything went well, but not heard about any subsequent appointment with the Nurse Specialist, who used to do the review. Fairly easy to make the appointment at the desk, but it was for a HCA and not a doctor. To get a routine appointment with a doctor can be very difficult as there are usually only appointments for Cervical Smears
