My surgery is Crookhorn and having also attended Cosham and Portsmouth. I realised how the Crookhorn surgery seems to be the runt of the litter. For the actual workings of Crookhorn I would say it is a bit sleepy in its approach to patients. People want to feel they are being listened to especially when people are worried about their particular problem, although I have to say when I have been able to see a Doctor there my treatment has been first class.

Thank you for your comments. Cosham and Kingston are our two largest sites and are much busier, however the reception staff are all trained to the same level. Crookhorn are very much known locally by the patients as being friendly, helpful and engaging.

Efficiently conducted
The appointment was for a blood test in support of a medication review. In itself, the appointment was perfect as it was initiated by the surgery at the appropriate time, occurred promptly after the call to arrange it and was efficiently conducted/processed on the day. The area for improvement relates to what is going to happen now which is totally unclear.

It was reassuring that I had a swift response to my e-consult and got an immediate appointment to be seen. It was good that the Nurse Practitioner was able to refer this straight to the Doctor, who saw me straight away and was able to ammend my medication.
