If you work it’s very hard to make appointments. Everything is on the internet! E consult can not been done at any point in the day. I have tried for 6 weeks now to just be told no appointments left ! It’s Spaulding!

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that our Crookhorn team have provided you with good service and experience to date. We do appreciate that the specified phone times are not to everyone's liking, but it is to try and manage and prioritise demand appropriately without generating long waiting times. We regularly review data and if we can increase line availability, we do.

Unfortunately we not very clear on what you mean by mixed surgery setup but do feel free to contact us in the Operations team to discuss further if you wish!

My contact with Crookhorn Lane Surgery is never straight forward, It does not seem to matter when ever I try to use the econsult it is unavailable. When I try to phone the line is busy and I can hold on for at least 30mins.
When I do get through there is never any appointment left.
I have tried to used the online appointments but they are for Nurses, Healthcare assistance, never the doctor.
Basically, I only ever try to contact the surgery if I need to speak to a doctor, whilst the receptionist is helpful: ecosult at 7.30am or phone 8.00am, 10.00am or at 2.00pm. The whole process is frustrating , time consuming and a nightmare.
I appreciate things are never going back to precovid, I do feel patients are being left to get on with it.

Thank you for your comments. To ensure that we maximise the limited resources available to us, we do have specific times for patients to make contact to gain access. We do ensure that we offer different ways to gain access, such as eConsult as an alternative to telephone appointments. We understand that our systems are different to others, however this has proven, so far that we offer on average more appointments the on average across the city. In some circumstances the ownership does need to be with the patient, but please be assured that we will continue to offer as much access as we possibly can to provide care.

I saw the asthma nurse. It was a longer appointment than I expected and it was an extremely helpful one. I have been feeling quite anxious recently and put on some weight which seems to be affecting my breathing and I wasn’t using my asthma spray properly. She reassured me and gave me some good advice and I came out feeling a bit more positive for which I am extremely grateful.
