When I checked in, the message on screen was 0 minutes wait. However, I was kept waiting for 10 minutes whilst 2 practitioners discussed where a partner might be taking one of them in London. they speculated about The Shard etc. another patient had the same appointment time of 10.30am, both of us were becoming more and more agitated as we both needed to return to work. when i was finally called in for my injection, there was no niceties, just checked date of birth and name and stuck the needle in. very unusual for this practice.

Contact for stress related anxiety
Suffering from severe stress due to a number of family crisis and heavy demanding role at work. Unable to cope with both at same time. Doctor advised me to take 1 week self declared sick then signed me off for further 2 weeks to allow me to prioritise and deal with issues. This has helped a great deal and allowed me to cope with the immediate issues a lot better. I was also advised on increasing the dosage of citalopram to reduce the feeling of anxiety.

Great support from Dr Mannings to deal with issues caused by my gallstones. Treated me urgently and kept everything moving as fast as possible. Very personal approach and kept in frequent contact to discuss with me.

Nurse very good. Practice/very poor
When I need to see a doctor I expect to see a doctor. I have a named doctor that I haven't seen in two and a half years, I have a condition which requires special treatment. My doctor is the clinical lead for respiratory diseases for the south of England, but I never get to see him.
Far too many barriers put in way to stop us seeing our doctor.
Technology does not help this situation.

Great service from the nurse!
The nurse was very polite and talked through the procedure that I was there for.
She also was very helpful with a couple of issues that I had. I had written a letter to the Dr but I was told by the receptionist that I was not allowed to hand a letter into the Dr. If I had posted it I assume they would have had to accept it?
I spoke to the nurse and the nurse kindly sorted out the issues. She was thoughtful enough to phone me the next day to inform me what she had been able to do.
I understand that Covid has and is still making it difficult for patients and Drs but I feel some of the receptionists could be a little more helpful.
I was told by one receptionist on a previous occasion that I knew what I could do if I didn’t like their service!
It’s such a shame that a couple of receptionists have let the surgery down. I have been extremely happy with the surgery and other staff that I have seen or spoken to.
