Doctors appointment

Submitted an online request and received a call back regarding a Doctors appointment on the same day. Doctor explained I had a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics so quickly

Very quickly actioned. The system is easy to use with clear instructions/signposts. It would be helpful if actions like repeat prescriptions were available out of hours...

Reception and medical secretaries

I am currently on a health journey that encompasses a chronic condition and tolerating the medications that I need to take. This has meant my ability to navigate normal processes has been impaired. I am extremely appreciative of the kind, empathetic and patient way in which reception staff have assisted me. I have also experienced a kind, empathic and reassuring experience from a member of the secretarial team too.

Poor customer service

When I entered the surgery two receptionists immediately said we will be with you in a moment; after several minutes where one was instructing the other on how to do something on the computer (she wasn't on a call). What would have been best practise is for them both to have stopped their conversation and one deal with my query - to ask a simple question about blood tests and then continue with their conversation. Providing good customer service when what they were working on wasn't a priority and could have waited.

Long wait.

I had to wait 7 weeks to speak to a doctor for a blood test report when requested to book an appointment by the surgery.

Medication for psoriasis

Doctor very pleasant and received the medication asked for - the only problem was the wait - I was asked to attend at 11.15 and was seen at 12.40.

If my repeat prescription had been fully met a week ago I wouldn’t have had to make it again today! I hope Pharmacy2 U don’t take too long as now nearly out of one of the tablets,

Appointment with the practice nurse

I had an appointment with nurse Ruth for stocking measurements, she kept me informed of every step she was making & was explaining everything she was doing & the reason she was doing it. She was very thorough & made me feel very comfortable.
