Annoying booking
When seen was fine.
I needed to book sooner but was unable to do so online. Having got through via phone was not listened to and just sent a link to book online.
When I managed to log in it was too late to get an appointment

Anima Impressive
Completed details using Anima online form late Friday afternoon. GP called back well within the hour and referred for X-ray. Speed of service is impressive.

Why so complicated?
It used to be so easy to book a routine appointment by just popping in to the surgery or making a phone call. Now there are many hoops to jump through.
First I tried to use Anima and only got so far before being thrown out of the system. So I called in to the surgery the same day, to be told that I had to fill in the online form for a routine appointment and to ring the following morning.
I did this, explained I wanted a routine appointment and the staff member filled out the online form as we spoke. She said someone would contact me later.
I received a call two hours later, to be told that all urgent appointments had gone and I was advised to go to the urgent treatment centre.
When I again explained that I only wanted a routine appointment, I was finally able to arrange this for 13 April.
This whole process was just a complete waste of everyone's time. Surely it ought to be possible to have a more streamlined process for making a routine appointment?

Varicose veins.
I had pains in my leg and the doctor sent me to William Harvey Hospital. They did an ultrasound and there were no clots in my veins. They said they are varicose veins. You need to go back to your Doctor so he can put me onto a consultant. I got a phone call from the doctor at Saint James’s and he’s referred me to a consultant.

Incredible
Dr Hill is the most fabulous GP. It didn’t feel like I was just another person to see that day. He gave me time to explain and we came up with a treatment plan together. He also shared some wonderful research he recently found on recurrent UTIs and I’m very grateful to him for sharing this. Overall, he is just a very kind, considerate and amazing GP. Thank you!

Waste of time
Infected toe that needed antibiotics. Send doctors a photo of the toe. Was told to go to minor injuries! Waste of time filling out the online form, photo then a phone call.

Not up to it's usual high standards
I saw a locum doctor. I think he was the only one there. He seemed under pressure, he was nice enough but seemed stressed. Which is the only reason I can come up with the fact he wrote a prescription for a drug that has lactose in it when I told him I was lactose intolerant. Luckily for me this came to light when my pharmacist did not have the exact medicine and we were looking for an alternative. This is the first time I have had to leave a disappointing review for my surgery

Meeting with nurse
After being diagnosed with diabetes, I was told to make an appointment but that was then cancelled by the nurse, rebooked but I was unable to make it and now I have to wait another 3 weeks to go through what food I need to avoid and can eat. Should have come over on a dingy I think
