Physio appointment
I have found my 2 appointments very helpful. The clinician is professional and really listens in order to be responsive. I like the App that allows you to see a video of the prescribed movements as well as a written description. These have helped me ensure I’m doing the moves correctly. I also like being able to set a reminder and make notes on the moves as I complete them. Overall a very helpful and worthwhile programme.

Fabulous
I came for my usual depot injection and since moving to St James, I have had Nurse Fiona for all my appointments for the injections. Today I came in and as usual she asked how I was, I said I hadn't had a great week and went into a bit of detail about situations at work that have been stressful. Fiona asked if I was ok, which I don't usually get asked when talking about work and before I left she made sure I knew that they were there to help me too if I felt I needed it. It was really nice to have someone make sure I was ok in a situation that I have to deal with because it is my job. Nurse Fiona is absolutely fabulous.

Cervical Screening/ No appointments available
Desperately trying to get an appointment for cervical smear test but there are none! The next batch are apparently released in December but are not bookable now. Given that it’s October that is a long time to wait. What is the point in the surgery sending urgent reminders out when they have no appointments available?

I asked for an appointment for my one year old who had been suffering with something and had been highly irritable and was keen to get her seen and checked for tonsillitis in case she was in pain. She was seen the same day as the request and the doctor was very friendly and informative, reassuring me. Very quick process, lovely clean surgery. No complaints.

Pre Diabetics
The Diabetic Nurse was just so helpful. Gave me lots of advice on keeping my sugar levels under control.
Having had low blood sugars for at least 15 years. Now sugars are going up. My problem is l dont know when they are going low or high.
I have to eat every two or three hours especially if l am busy gardening, walking. etc. The middle of the night and when l wake in the morning, l feel so ill if l haven't eaten before bed.
The nurse was so helpful and asked me to book an appointment with my Dr Rynick to see if l can get more help.
I have had excellent help from Becci over the years so hopefully l can continue to keep sugars under control. Excellent doctors and nuses also receptionists

Very thorough
The GP was very thorough, listened to what we had to say and explained clearly the answers to our concerns. Explained how to self-refer to ensure we were seen when and how best suited us. Showed us on the screen so we knew what to look for. Lovely to have a surgery that feels like a good traditional family GP that has the time to give you.

New Patient
I am a new patient to the surgery and my first impressions were very good. The receptionists are so helpful in accommodating the patients. The whole ambience of the surgery is of a safe place, very comfortable and relaxing. This for some patients would be ideal if they are experiencing difficult times with their health.
Altogether a 10 out of 10
Well done St James Surgery
We mustn’t forget the doctors who I am sure are brilliant too.
